Yuexiu Park

Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. Covering an area of 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres), it is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain; hence the name.

It is a perfect combination of cultural relics and ecological tourism, reputed for its pretty water and hills as well as cultural relics. The main places of interest include the stone sculpture of the Five Rams, Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and Square Cannon Site.
 

Five-Ram Sculpture

The Five-Ram Sculpture in Yuexiu Park is one of the most famous structures in Guangzhou. It has become the emblem of the city. Legend has it that more than 2,000 years ago, the city was a barren land with people who despite hard work were suffering from famine. One day five immortals in five-color garments came riding on five rams, playing their legendary music. The rams held sheaves of rice in their mouths. The immortals left the sheaves of rice for the local people, gave blessings to the city and left. The rams turned into stone and the city became a rich and populous place. Guangzhou got the name of the City of Rams and the City of Ears.

            Around 9 A.M. the guide will pick you up from the hotel toward the 1,400-year-old Liurong Temple. Get your eyes ready to be thrown open by a brilliant blossom-like pagoda, which towers right behind the front gate of the temple. Then turn your attention to Yuexiu Park, some 20 minutes drive away Liurong Temple. You’ll find the most famous Five-Ram Sculpture and Zhenhai Tower spring to your real vision from those pictures you’ve seen! The next attraction, Chen Clan Academy, would engage your eyeballs firm. A million of carved figures, animals, plants, buildings would proudly show you the elaborate way they are in the 1-hour-long tour of the Academy.

           Well, put an end to the tranquil first half and steer to the bouncy springy latter half. Drive about 15 minutes to Shangxiajiu Shopping Street from Chen Clan Academy. Look at it, a 1,200-meter-long showcase of Arcade Buildings (Qilou in Chinese). Look closer and catch sight of countless cute snack bars, boutiques, jewelry shops, shoe stores, all the things about chic. In the midst of shopping happiness, the night falls and Guangzhou looks even more twinkling. Here we switch to Pearl River Night Cruise and have full fun, for straight 60 minutes cruising downstream, watching gorgeous skylines of the city and savoring buffet dinner served on the cruise ship!

Guangzhou known historically as Canton and nicknamed the City of Flowers,is the capital and largest city of GuangDong province in South China.Guangzhou is one of the major birthplaces of China's ancient "maritime Silk Road". Located on the Pearl River, about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, Guangzhou serves as an important national transportation hub and trading port.One of the five National Central Cities,it holds sub-provincial administrative status. Duration :6 to 7 hours, use public transporation ,not included public transporation fee, and lunch fee, but i will recommended  the best place for lunch ,Included entrance ticket fee of Museum and parks.
