Jinshanling Great Wall

1, Pick up from your hotel at 8am. Then we will be heading to the Gubei town for entering a wild great wall. It’s around 150km away from Beijing, 2.5 hours driving towards it.

2, 13km Walls will be the total hiking length for the tour. We will spend around 3 hours for hiking across the Gubeikou Great Wall then before starting to hike on Jinshanling Great Wall, we will stop by a local farmer‘s house for compensating some food and energy.

3, then it will be another 2-3 hours hiking on the Jinshanling Great Wall. finally the tour would end at the main entrance of the Jinshanling Great Wall. If we are lucky to have sunny weather, we maybe able to enjoy a beautiful sunset landscape on the Jinshanling Great Wall.

4, Finally we will be heading aback to the city Of Beijing 

Take a break from busy Beijing for a full-day hike along the Great Wall of China, one of the world’s most famous monuments.

Climb  the section of the Great Wall at Jinshanling, a beautiful and less-crowded section of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. See parts of the Great Wall that have been carefully restored as well as sections that have not been retouched. After the 2-hour climb, have lunch at a restaurant operated by local farmers before returning to Beijing.

This section offers arguably the finest hiking anywhere on the Great Wall. It is extremely photogenic, with over 15 watch-towers, and steep gradients that give constantly changing perspectives and wide, open views.

There is fascinating variety in the watch-towers here. Some have two storeys, others three. Some have flat roofs, others rounded and others again are pitched with upturned eaves. This section of the wall is wild, ruined, preserved and original. On a clear day, it is difficult to fail to take good photographs here.

Listed as one of the world cultural heritage sites in 1987, it is located in Hebei Province and is about 150 kilometers (90 miles) away from Beijing (about 3 hours by car). The Jinshanling Great Wall is the best preserved part of the Great Wall with many original structures and features!

You will have a chance to visit the original of the wall that has never had any renovations.

Your guide and the driver will pick you up at 8:30 in your hotel lobby.

This section is more beautiful and less crowded than the ones closer to Beijing giving you more time to appreciate this massive construction.

The drive will be about 2 hours to the border of Hebei province.
The hike starts with the less renovated section where tourists are few and new views unfold. Just before we reach the restricted military zone we take a detour off the wall and up a hill top where you have a fantastic 360 degrees view of the Great Wall winding over the mountain ridges and onward. The hike becomes easier as you approach the Great Wall at Jinshanling.
Please bring appropriate snacks and water for this long walk.
Lunch at authentic Chinese food.
Return to the hotel.
