Why we call it Couples` Garden because this house have two gardens on the east and west side which is unusual in ancient time, normally one house has one garden, so two gardens indicate the couples here, so that`s the reason. Well, i heard from a Chinese tour guide, and i am not sure if i get the right explanation though.
