Golden Bull Park

Golden Bull Park measures 113 hectares in area on the south side of Haixu Road in central Haikou.  A number of city buses pass by the park including the 1, 2, 22, 30 & 40.  Look for the big golden faux coliseum pillars to the left.  Golden Bull Mountain Park is known as the “Lungs of Haikou” due to its wealth of plant life, including a lovely bamboo forest.  There is a small amusement park for young children and a zoo with many lonely animals and a large collection of domestic dogs at the far end of the park.  If you are compassionate towards animals, you are advised to avoid this.  I wish I had.
