Day 1. Zhangjiajie Arrival

Arriving at Zhangjiajie airport. Picking up and transfer to your hotel in Zhangjiajie.

Day 2. Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie)

We are heading to Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area. First main attraction is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (entrance ticket 36 USD/person, 4 days valid). We will take Bailong elevator (1,070 ft. glass elevator) go up to Yuanjiajie Senic Area. We will visit Greatest Natural Bridge, Enchanting Terrace and Heaven Pillar. Heaven Pillar is AVATAR Mountain. The movie AVATAR was shot here. Enjoy Hallelujah Mountain. Then we are going to Tianzi Mountain by tourist car. We will see Xihai,Helong Park, Imperial Writing Brush Peaks, Fairy Dispersing Flowers, etc. The local government built Helong Park here in memory of General Helong.

Day 3:the Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie (world highest glass bridge) -- Yellow Dragon Cave

In the morning, we go to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon to see the glass bridge (37 USD/ticket). It's about 50 minutes driving from Wulinyuan.

At afternoon, we explore Yellow Dragon Cave ( 15 USD/ticket for entrance fee). It is called "the most amazing tourist cave in China". It is also called "underground enchanted palace".

Day 4: Golden Whip Brook -- Tianmen Mountain (the Rock Hole of Heavenly Gate and glass walkway)

Golden Whip Brook is Located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. It is famous for Jinbian Cave which has a height of 382 meters and looks like a huge flying eagle.

At afternoon, we will go to Tianmen Mountain (38 USD/ticket). Your heart will beat fast at Tianmen Mountain on the world’s longest cable car, the suspended glass walkway almost a mile (1,430 meters) above the ground, and the ‘99 Bends’ mountain road. You will take a chairlift to the highest spot of Tianmen Mountain at Tianman Temple.

At night: Watching Tianmen Fox Fairy show (optional).

Sleeping at Yongding District (city downtown) hotel of your choice.

Day 5.  Zhangjiajie -- Fenghuang (Phoenix Ancient Town)

Transporting to Fenghuang in the morning. Taking boat ride on Tuo River. Enjoying the harmonious atmosphere and Walking up and down both sides of Tuo River. Get relax while watching the rows of traditional wooden houses built on stilts and looking at what the local people do.

Accommodation area: Fenghuang.

Day 6. Fenghuang Departure (Guilin,Zhangjiajie or other cities)

Go to your next destination from nearby airports (Tongren Fenghuang airport TEN, only 40 kilometers away from Fenghuang; Huaihua Zhijiang Airport HJJ, 110km from Fenghuang; Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport DYG, 230km from Fenghuang), bullet-train station (Huaihua), normal train stations or bus stations.

(There is an intercity bus goes to Guilin directly from Fenghuang General Bus Station every day. It only takes 6 hours and 23 USD/person.)

Day 1: Zhangjiajie Arrival

After meeting with the tour guide, he/she will take you by private van and driver to your hotel for a good rest.

Day 2: Zhangjiajie national forest park: Huangshi Fort, Golden Whip Brook

After breakfast, you will take the cable car to Huangshi Fort which is 1092 meters above sea level. It is the biggest sightseeing platform to view the spectacular scenery in the national park. Later, explore the famous Golden Whip Brook which covers a distance of 7.5 km winding across mountains and valleys.

Day 3: Wulingyuan scenic area: Tianzi mountain, Yuanjiajie and Baofeng Lake

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up  and take you to Wulingyuaun Scenic Area to visit its two most classic and popular attractions. Take a cable car up to Tianzi mountain, and you will see large area of grotesque peaks thrusting up below. Walking along the steps, spectacular views unfold in front of you from different angels. In the afternoon, ride the public shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, whose mountains are said to be the inspiration for Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain, and then take the shuttle bus for the Bailong elevator down the mountain. This glass elevator was built on the side of a cliff, and it claims to be the world's highest and fastest outdoor sightseeing elevator which takes only 1.5 minutes with 326 meters as the height.

After that, go to Baofeng lake that is a basin created by the terrain in the middle of this mountainous area. It is a leisurely experience as you boat on the clear water, see the hills of various shapes, and enjoy entertainment by the local minority people as they sing their traditional songs.

Day 4: Tianmen Mountain, drive to Fenghuang Ancient Town

After breakfast, take the longest cable car up to the top of Tianmen Mountain which got the name because of Tianmen hole(literally "heaven's gate) is a 131-meter-high hole formed naturally in the mountain like a doorway, well-known for being glided through by a world-class stuntman in a wing suit. To reach the hole, you can climb for about half an hour up the "stairway to heaven". Coming up to Tianmen mountain, Your heart will beat faster at on the world's longest cable car, the suspended glass walkway almost a mile(1,430 meters) above the ground, and the winding road with 99 curves.
    In the afternoon, 4 hours drive to Fenghuang Ancient Town, enjoy the night view in the town with all lights and lanterns on.

 Day 5: Fenghuan Ancient Town, Dehang Miao Village, Back to the next destination

After breakfast, wondering around in the ancient town with the cement pavements and characteristic wooden buildings (Diaojiaolou). 

In the afternoon, drive back to Zhangjiajie while on the way back, explore Dehang Miao Village which refers to "beautiful valley" to get an interactive with local Miao-minority people in person.

Day 1: Zhangjiajie Arrival
Most flights land in Zhangjiajie in the evening. Upon arrival, your local tour guide will meet you at the arrival hall of the airport with a name plate. If you arrive by train, you local guide will meet you with a name plate at the exit of train station.
After meeting with the tour guide, he/she will take you by private van and driver to your hotel in the city for a good rest.

After breakfast, pay a visit to Grand Canyon,The main attractions are slide, waterfall, zip-line, and what’s more, the most popular and famous glass bridge will be open to the public by May,2016. In the afternoon, drive to Baofeng lake that is a basin created by the terrain in the middle of this mountainous area.
Night Activity: Tianmen Fox Fairy Show, is an outdoor musical telling an old Chinese love story, with Tianmen mountain and its deep valleys as the backdrop. It has received good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Day 1

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Tianzi Mountain - Yangjiajie

I will pick you up at your hotel in Zhangjiajie. Then we will head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ( 248 Yuan/ticket. It's included in the tour price). This day we will visit Tianzi Mountain. We will see Xihai, Helong Park, Imperial Writing Brush Peaks, Fairy Dispersing Flowers, etc. The local government built Helong Park here in memory of General Helong. Afternoon, we will explore the hidden gem Yangjiajie Scenic Area (including Tianbofu Scenic Resort, Wulongzhai, etc). Wulongzhai was a bandits' home in the past. "Wulong" means black dragon in Chinese. The steep hills around here looks like a black dragon at night. This is the reason why it is called Wulongzhai. Yangjiajie is a relatively quiet place, the normal tourists do not often come here. Tonight we will live in a hotel on the mountain.

Day 2

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Yuanjiajie (Avatar mountain) - Golden Whip Brook

Today we could get up early for seeing the sunrise from mountaintop. (if it is a good weather). Then take a tourist car to Yuanjiajie Senic Area. We will visit Greatest Natural Bridge, Enchanting Terrace and Heaven Pillar. Heaven Pillar is AVATAR Mountain. The movie AVATAR is shot here. Enjoy Hallelujah Mountain. At afternoon, we will go to the foot of  the mountain for exploring Golden Whip Brook. Golden Whip Brook covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. It is famous for Jinbian Cave which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle. At the late afternoon, I will send you back to your hotel in Zhangjiajie.

Day 3

Tianmen Mountain: Tianmen Cave - Glass Walkway

We will go to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park (258 CNY/ticket. It's included in the tour price) in the morning. Your heart will beat fast at Tianmen Mountain on the world’s longest cable car, the suspended glass walkway almost a mile (1,430 meters) above the ground, and the ‘99 Bends’ mountain road. Explore Tianman Temple on the top of the mountain. At the end of this day. I will send you back to your hotel, the airport or the railway station.

Price includes:

1. Private English speaking guide for the whole trip. (Tour guide will take care of his own accommodations, You don't need to pay for him.)
