My Tho located 1.5 hours away from Ho Chi Minh city, nearest to Ho Chi Minh city, has a tropical monsoon climate, which is characterized by inland equatorial glands, so it is year-round high and divided into 2 distinct seasons: dry season and rainy season. Rainy season from May to November, dry season from December - April next year. You can travel to My Tho at any time of the year because of "awake season", each season you will enjoy different kinds of fruits.

Mekong Delta has many sights and many activities to enjoy so my Private Tour is 8 hours length. My tour starts at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh and we would get to know each other by introduction at the lobby. My pick up car and driver will be available for you in front of your hotel to start going to Mekong Delta.

To break the silence while moving to My Tho, I would introduce all the highlight sights in Ho Chi Minh city and share my tour itinerary just so you know. Driving along Saigon river, you can see a few Districts of Saigon included District 1, District 4, District 5 and District 6 which will take you to the Highway connecting Saigon and Mekong Delta. 

At the first step you walk out from the car, you would meet a ship owner that would help us going around Mekong Delta by her special open air-conditional boat. The boat will always be enough no matter how many people in your groups. Mekong Delta tour will bring you to the four Islands (Dragon, Phoenix, Tortoise, Unicorn) to enjoy all activities and eat as many fruits there.​

The boat will bring you to the very first destination Dragon Island, take a leisurely walk to the village path to visit Mekong people home, fruity garden and enjoy seasonal fruits while enjoying the traditional Southern folk music singing lively by beautiful Mekong Delta people. After enjoying, take a walk slowly Orchid Garden to visit a honey bee farm and how local people extract honey bee from beehives. People will invite you to eat very special honey bee tea with lime and also some traditional coconut snack originally made from the Mekong people to welcome you to Mekong Delta. You may feel very healthy and awake after tea time.

After refreshing up, I will walk you to the highlight activity in Mekong area: riding in hand-rowed sampan through the natural water coconut trees, a symbol of Mekong Delta. This ride will bring you along the river floating back to the special air - conditional boat that waiting for us at the island destination. 

We return to the boat to continue our sightseeing by crossing Coconut Candy factory. If you are coconut lover, you would love to be here. At the factory, you would learn how to make different coconut candy flavors such as chocolate, peanut, durian, caramel... Not only learning how to make it, you can also taste as many flavors of coconut candy as you want. Hot instant coconut candy would worth a try for you. Don't forget to grab some coconut candy home as souvenirs! 

Our next destination would be lunch stop. I would bring you to the floating restaurant to enjoy authentic local food in Mekong. The highlight dishes in the local restaurant would be Deep-fried Elephant-ear Fish, sticky rice ball, spring rolls and morning glory. 

​Finishing lunch at the Riverside restaurant, the boat will bring us back the most beautiful island called Phoenix Island to sightseeing and have some fun after lunch. One of the most popular activity here is crossing the Monkey bridge - very worth a try! 

In the late afternoon, the boat will bring you from the Phoenix Island back to the land and we will take a short walk through the village path to the car.

The car and I will escort you back to your hotel safely for your rest and your upcoming journey.

Day 1. You will visit Ben Tre/ then travel to Can Tho

Overnight in Can Tho Province

Day 2. Visit Can Tho

Early Morning - visit Cai Rang Floating market

Then travel to Bang Lang Stock Garden

(Bang Lang Stork Garden lies within the area of Binh Thoi hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune, Thot Not district, Can Tho city, Vietnam. Upon passing the north of Vam Cong, from Lo Te intersection, visitors go along the No. 80 Highway for about 80km before reaching a small canal named Bang Lang. Then you will continue to go through a bridge which is also named Bang Lang. There is around 1 km away from the main road to Bang Lang Stork Garden. On the way to the garden, visitors will pass green rice paddies and interlacing canals.)
