Although there are limited flights into Wuxi airport from a few places outside of China, most travelers reach Wuxi via Pudong Airport, Shanghai.
- There is a direct shuttle bus from Pudong to Wuxi, if you can find it. It is a minibus and takes a bit more than three hours.
- Or you can catch a taxi (for 150 yuan) from the airport to Shanghai Railway Station, and catch a train straight to Wuxi from there. It is best to get a "soft seat" ticket to Wuxi; it costs around 30 yuan. The trip takes about an hour and a half depending on how many times the train stops.
- There are a number of different train types you can take. The fastest is the "bullet" (CRH) train and the trip is about 50 minutes. Cost for first class ticket (very comfortable seats for a fast relaxed journey) is 48 rmb and worth every penny. These trains start with the letter D (e.g. D32 leaves Shanghai at 10.50 am arrives Wuxi at 11.36 am). Other express trains start with the letter T, slower trains start with N.
- Or you can catch the high speed maglev train which takes you close to Shanghai Railway Station. Then take a quick taxi ride to the station to catch the train to Wuxi. This method is for those who really fancy the experience of traveling at three hundred kilometres an hour for a few minutes.
- If you just want to get to Wuxi without enduring the hassle of changing places in the enormous city of Shanghai, it is possible to get a taxi all the way from Pudong to Wuxi for between 350 and 500 yuan. If you have someone expecting you, or you are booked into a helpful hotel, this can be arranged and then there will be someone awaiting you at the airport holding a card with your name on it.
Coming from Nanjing
Coming by bus from Nanjing, the trip takes about three hours, and costs about 30 yuan. The trains are also frequent and cheap (currently 28 yuan). In Wuxi the main long-distance bus station is right next to the train station.
The same train system mentioned above also operates from Nanjing. The D train trip is around an hour and ten minutes.

Local cuisine is one of the main reasons many Chinese travelers make the journey to Yangzhou. There are an incredible amount of restaurants throughout the city, most of which boast very reasonable prices as well. Weiyang (also known as Huaiyang) Cuisine, the Yangzhou style, is well known throughout China, as Yangzhou Fried Rice is one of the most famous local exports.
Some of China’s most creative and eye catching dishes come from the Yangzhou school of cuisine called Huaiyang (also commonly known as the Weiyang school). Along with the Sichuan (Chuan Cai 川菜), Cantonese (Yue Cai 粤菜), and Shandong (Lu Cai 鲁菜) cooking schools, Huaiyang cuisine (淮扬菜) is a distinctive and masterful skill that locals are certainly quite proud of.
Two of the best places to try authentic Huaiyang cuisine are at Ye Chun and Fu Chun restaurants, which are both set in tasteful locations. Otherwise Yangzhou is packed with restaurants that serve Huaiyang cuisine. In fact, sometimes it’s hard to find anything else!
Far and away the most famous creation of Huaiyang cuisine is Yangzhou Fried Rice (扬州炒饭), which will not surprise many as simply being... fried rice. Huaiyang cuisine tends to have a sweet side to it and, in contrast to that of Sichuan cuisine, is almost never spicy. Pork, fresh water fish, and other aquatic creatures serve as the meat base to most dishes, which are usually more meticulous and light compared to the more “brash” eating styles of northern China. Presentation seems to come before taste as foods are often carefully shaped like flowers, birds, or Chinese figures.
Huaiyang cuisine also includes a smattering of breakfast choices such as crab soup dumplings (蟹黄汤包, xie huang tangbao), thousand layer cake (千层糕, qian ceng gao), steamed dumplings (蒸饺, zheng jiao), tofu noodles (大煮干丝, da zhu gan si), and wild vegetable steamed buns (野菜包子, yecai baozi).

Xuanwu Lake (Admission: Free) - Close to the city center and featuring 368 hectares of water and 104 hectares of land, Xuanwu Lake Park is a favorite getaway for locals. Nanjing Food Court - my favorite local Nanjing restaurant, Nanjing people like to go there with family. It`s a resultant with a lot of Nanjing local food and ancient style of decoration, at night they will have Kunqu playing, coolest restaurant ever.
City Wall (Admission: 45CNY) - Nanjing City Wall, constructed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties between 1365 and 1386, originally stretched over 30km which made it the longest city wall in the world. Now, with about two thirds of the wall still intact it still remains the longest city wall in China. We could walk on the city wall and feel the history of Nanjing.

Maybe you don't like all the tourist attractions in the downtown, here would be one of another option.
This tour will be only visit 2 attractions and the rest will be spend the whole time in the hot spring. Or, if you prefer, you can only go for the spring.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.

Nail Jazz Bar is a light bar with good Jazz muisc, live sometimes, they have over 50 kinds of imported beer from all over the World, the Draft beer Hoegaarden is with special roam and taste, for lady, here have over 100 cocktail to choose, lovely and enjoyable. The price here is quite as other bars, short cocktail for 28 Yuan, long drink cocktail for 38 Yuan. Hoegaarden draft beer, 38 for 0.3L and 68 for 0.5L.
Behind the Wall - A cozy atmosphere, decent food, live music and cheap margaritas make Behind the Wall a popular hang-out, especially with the foreign student population.
