A day sightseeing in the Portuguese/Chinese melting pot of Macau, leaving at 8:00, returning about 21:30.

I will pick you up from your hotel around 08:00, to catch a ferry at 09:00 to Macau. This trip takes about an hour, plus some time to clear immigration.
In Macau we will mostly walk between the sights, as Macau is small and most are close together. Some transfers will be by taxi or bus instead.

The island showcases a great mix of Chinese and Portuguese culture and architecture. Main sights include the Guia Fortress and Lighthouse, Ruins of St. Paul's, Monte Fort, Senado Square, St Lawrence Church and A-Ma Temple. Somewhere on the road we will have lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we will visit the Macau Tower for a bird's eye view all over Macau, after which we take a bus to end the day in Taipa village.

After an early dinner in Taipa we will try to catch a ferry about 19:30 back to Hong Kong, to return you to your hotel around 21:30.

1. Shanghai

Duration: 1~1.5 days.

Attractions: Pudong Skyline / The Bund, Shanghai World Financial Center

From Shanghai to Hangzhou by bullet-train.

2. Hangzhou
Duration: 2.5~3 days.
Attractions: West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Thousand Islands Lake

From Hangzhou to Guilin by flight.

3. Guilin
Duration: 4 days.
Attractions: Li river Cruise, Longji Rice Terrace, Reed Fleet Cave, Yangshuo, Yulong River Drifting, West Street.

4. Your next destination (Guangzhou/Shenzhen/Hong Kong is recommended)

The sequence of the traveling destinations in this Itinerary could be reversed.

The Pat Sin Leng range is one of the most famous hikes in Hong Kong, and also one of the more demanding walks. The name "Pat Sin Leng" means "Peaks of Eight Gods", as it is a mountain ridge with eight distinct peaks. The views from this range are among the best of Hong Kong.

Geologically these mountains are interesting as they are part of a major escarpment, where part of the terrain has been lifted by tectonic forces.

The hike follows the mountain ridge though some beautiful mountain landscapes, and finally passes by Sha Lo Tung, an all but abandoned village, the houses of which have grade II heritage status. Here you can take a closer look at typical Hakka-style homes, and (weekends and holidays only) enjoy a bowl of the local delicacy dou-fu-fa, a sweet tofu pudding.
