Yangmei Ancient Town Following the Zuo River down stream, about 30km from Nanning, is the village of Yangmei, a perfectly preserved Qing dynasty village. The village was once prosperous thanks to its convenient location to trade three sides of it are fronted by the river. Over 700 years old, the buildings reflect the wealth that once flowed through the streets and onto the waiting boats at the river’s edge. The preserved Qing Dynasty Street showcases Guangxi’s best remaining architecture from that period. Ornate roofs and eaves decorated with dragons and phoenixes jut out at every corner. More than just the buildings have been preserved; the village retains its rustic turn of the century atmosphere. The rustic village is more than a tourist attraction; it’s a living set for many films that use it as a backdrop for period architecture.

The Qingxiu Mountain, is a national AAAA level scenic spot honored as the the 'green lung' of Nanning. With majestic hills and peaks, green trees and beautiful scenes, it was among the eight famous scenes in Nanning. In the area, ridges and peaks are rising and falling, mountains and hills are green, spring is clear and rocks are wonderful, it is famous for mountains not high but beautiful, waters not deep but clear.As a key spot for development and exploration in Nanning, Qingxiu Mountain has been under construction. Besides some old relics like the Dong Spring, Carving on the Jieqing cliff and Shixiang Shrine still keep preserving and repairing, new spots like the Tropical Rain Forest Park, the Palm Park and the Thai Park are built. The last one is designed by architects from Thailand, as a spot built in the project of cultural communication between Nanning city and Khon Kaen city in Thailand. Since the garden is of Thailand style, visitors can experience for themselves the exotic favor here. Also, the newly built gate is unique and magnificient, which attributes a lot to the scenic spot.

It is no problem when you have big luggage like we had. We were making a big tour of China and were carrying 2 suitcases but no problem.
The trip on Li River is beautiful and very relaxing. A nice, relaxing and beautiful experience of the traditional life in China.

The great sound and light show is based on a love story of a girl and a man, also combined with part of the Chinese culture.
It is performed on the Li River with 600 actors and actresses, most of these performers are local farmers, they work on other jobs daytime, evening work in the show as part-time, though i am sure they are still professional since they are from the villages around, so they know enough about how the locals lived before.
An area of 2kms along the Li River and 12 peaksas a stage setting for this show, together with boundless sky, compose teh Landscape theatre with mountains and rivers the largest natural theatre in the world. This is a master piece made by the human being and the nature, a new concept of ” show set in the realistic landscape”hence created.
The whole show is set with 4 scenes.
1st, The Red Impression ( also called the Folk Songs ), this is a flavor chapter on the legends of Liu Sanjie. The directors combime the singing of folks and fishing nets together to creat an impression of singing in an aintiphonal style; The red fishing nets flutterring on the Li River are moving melodies, and the men inside the nets are musical notes jumping with fiery desire.
2nd, The Silver Impression ( also called the Grand Celebration ), This scene is the most spendid chapter,whoing the spectacle of a grand celebration by te local people in the legendary stories of Liu Sanjie. The 200 ” daughters of Li River ” line up in a luxurious array and wear specilly made local custumes decorated with silvery lamps, forming an extraoridnarily beautiful sight that you must have never seen before. This scene is said to be a cultural wonder o the Li River “.
3rd,the Golden impression. The fishing rafts, the coir raincoats,the cormorants, and the fire on the fishing rafts compose a typical piture of te Li River, with the fire being the soul of the picture. For the actors performing on the rafts are 220 fishing men from 5 neighboring villages.
4th,the Blue Impression ( also called the Love songs ), Famous singer from Tai Wan will sing the classc love song ” vines will twinw trees ” with romantic style. The enchanted voice will reverberate in the boundless mountains and rivers, and turn all the bamboo forests, wooden houses,moonlight, dancing fairies and the ablutionary bride,groom into the notes of love songs echoing over the heaven.

Day 2: Li River Cruise ( L) Guilin-Yangshuo stay in Yangshuo
Be met from your hotel at about 8 am and transferred to Zhujiang pier at about 9 am. Li River cruise (3 and half hour) to Yangshuo with lunch on board, you will feast your eyes with the reflection of fantastic peaks with various shapes, crystal clear water, green hills, bamboo groves, the river passes an endless procession of distinct peaks and bamboo groves and the stunning landscape. Yao people built the wood houses along the mountain. wood houses are keeping the harmony with the nature.
Day 4. Longji-Yangshuo, stay in Yangshuo.
From Longji to Yangshuo, on the way will visiting Yulong river, and do bamboo boat rafting. Yulong river is a beautiful river in Yangshuo.
Day 5.Yangshuo countryside tour,Moon Hill, Banyan tree park, airport.
