Ban Gioc waterfall is invaluable gift granted to Cao Bang by the nature. It is regarded as the most beautiful waterfall of Vietnam. It is situated in Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, 89 kilometers north of Cao Bang Town along Provincial Road 206 and 26 kilometers from the Chinese town of Trung Khanh). The waterfall originates from Quay Son River (China) and downstream flows back to China. On the Viet Nam side, the river has a picturesque scenery, fresh environment with grass cover, evergreen forest, bobbing white clouds mingling with the peaceful atmosphere of villages of mountainous ethnic minorities. On the other side is the neighboring nation of China.
With a height of 53 meters and a width of 300 meters, the waterfall is divided into 3 layers consisting of 12px and 15px upper flows. 15px water blocks fall into limestone steps, making a curtain of white sprays. Far from the waterfall, visitors can hear the roaring of waterfall resounding through a 15px area. Rising from middle of the waterfall is a 15px water mound covered with trees, splitting the river into three white silk strips. On hot summer days, it is still cool here. Every early morning, the sun shines through steam creating a sparkling rainbow.
With the splendid natural beauty, the waterfall of Ban Gioc is becoming Cao Bang’s biggest tourist attraction.

11:30 Arrive Cao Bang/ visit Pac Bo Cave. The time we go at the end of Oct, there are very beautiful flowers in the areas (the picture beside).
Day 3: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngoa Cave – Thang Hen Lake
6:00 Start, we will pass by the Ma Phuc Pass, one of very beautiful pass in Vietnam
9:00 we will arrive Ban Gioc Waterfall
10:30 visit Nguom Ngao Cave, we will trek nearly 3 km over the mountain to visit the cave
13:00 Lunch at Trung Khanh (one small town in the area)
14:00 back to Cao Bang, pass by Thang Hen Lake – one lake located on the mountain with best view. The water is very clean.
Day 4: Cao Bang – Lang Son – Ha Noi
7:00 Start back to Ha Noi; We will pass by historical famous Dong Khe & That Khe town, across of Ky Cung Lake with very beautiful view. Going this time end of Oct, we can see the yellow paddle rice field (it makes the sceneray more amazing)
12:00 Lunch at Lang Son; visit the market, where they sell very cheap products which import from China.
15:00 Continue back to Ha Noi (around 160km)
