Our trip to Lijiang and Shangri -La was just fantastic ! Green hills, beautiful rivers, lovely sunshine and blue sky. there is nothing we could ask for more. Lijiang and Shangri-La definitely is a place we would return to explore more of her beauties. All these were made even wonderful with our driver cum tour guide ,Tom or Tashi. He planned for our route and sequence of sceneries visits,and opted for an unusual route from what general tour guide would choose. All these were planned for with intention of visiting spectacular views of natures along our route. We were brought around in his car and the driving was really comfortable! An English speaking tour guide from Shangri-La , he has been working as a tour guide for many years. We were really lucky to have him as our tour guide for our Lijiang and Shangri-La tour. We learnt so much about Shangri-La from Tashi , the information of natures , the unique culture of local tribes ,were introduced and explained to us patiently. Last month with my wife to visit Shangri-La. Tom was our tour guide and driver, We had amazing time with Tom. He is excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable, and great driver. High reccommend Tom tour guide.

We booked with Tashi's friend for a 2 day Lijiang to Shangri-la tour, the friend couldn't make it and send Tashi instead and it all worked out perfect. As a local from Shangri-la, Tahsi or "Tom" has great information about the area and showed us beautiful spots to take pictures along with folklores about the great mountains. Since it was a private tour group we did everything at our own pace and Tashi never rushed us and was very patient with us two rather "matured" people going up and down the steep steps at Tiger Leaping Gorge and Songza Lin Temple. He is fluent in English and has the gentleness of a typical Tibetan with a true appreciation for the wonderful nature around Shangri-la, at times he was more excited than us to spot a particular bird or view of the great mountain even though he has probably seen it hundred of times. We enjoyed our tour with Tashi and would love to come back and do another tour with him in the future, maybe to the Meili mountains as he has suggested for our next trip. Read less

Tashi Dandup was our guide and driver for 3 days to Shangrila-la and Tiger Leaping Gorge. He speaks Tibetan, Mandarin and English, and this was very helpful to me since my mandarin isn't good. As a native Tibetan, Tashi shared many colorful stories about his culture and life in the region. He brought us to local restaurants to try the local cuisine and even advised us not to shop at certain tourist traps. We had to cut our time in Shangri-la due to my dad's altitude sickness, and Tashi was very accommodating. He's also a very safe driver, which we appreciated while winding through Yunnan's mountain roads. I'd recommend his services for your trip to Yunnan. Ying NYC, USA Read less

Tashi Dandup is the excellent tour guide and driver from the world famous Shangri-La. My family had wonderful trip in Lijiang and Shangri-La with Tashi. He is not only been our guide, but also been our driver, He is the guide who we needed in Yunnan. He is native Tibetan with high Tibetan budhhism and local cultures. We are highest recommend the Tashi. He is very good guide and good person.
