I hired Pourya in a trip through Iran last year. I could not have had a better experience. If you asked me what are the best things about this guide; well, obviously, I would say he offers very good prices and organizes impressive routes. Those are important facts. However, in addition to everything else, I was greatly surprised by how capable Pourya was. He is a very open minded person and could solve all of our problems easily while we were there. He reorganized the trip multiple times as we were traveling with him just because we thought we wanted to see new things. He fully understands people and could talk to the personnel sometimes to help us. He also knows very well the fair price for almost everything, so that you do not get cheated... Pourya is an excellent guide. As some examples, he bargained for us in shops, got the best change for our euros and dollars in the street (advice: don't you change your money in banks), knows many people, so he was able to do thing like arranging taxis or hotels in Tehran for us from Shiraz, was so kind to invite us to water, ice-creams, exotic drinks, melon, hot chocolate, etc., adapted to our needs or demands all the time, improvising if required (this included western WCs in urgent situations :-), and in the few occasions when a seller was too annoying, he showed the exact touch to make him go away. We are two adult teachers and four students, in a rare school prize trip in Iran. We spent one week with Pourya and couldn't be more pleased. Our demands were high (we wanted to see many things in very few days) and so were our expectations, but the results were even better. The country definitely has to do with the success of the trip, but Pourya wasn't less of a necessary ingredient: he worked really hard to meet our needs (which were very varied) and to have the students excited, improvizing the itinerary or changing it to accommodate (with previous permission from us) with what he thought would provide a better experience. To increase our fun he did a lot of personal expenses on our behalf obviously decreasing his net worth. Although we were on budget the restaurants and hotels he chose were traditional and elegant, even coming from one week in a 5* hotel in Tehran as we were (had been invited there as part of the prize). Pourya is a friendly flexible young man, good organizer, informed guide and a safe driver. Our family spent with him fascinating 5 days in Shiraz, Persepolis and Zagros mountains. Pourya can easily solve various unsolvable situations like to find accommodation in a designated place in the mountains without any hotel or campsite, to find urgently in the dark of the night a transport to village despite we just have no car or to organize celebration of the 12th birthday of my daughter in Shiraz. He is open-minded and it is interesting to discuss with him about all aspects of the life. Pourya was very helpful for us and we can recommend him to all travellers.
