Aline is our tour guide throughout our holiday in Sichuan from 4th Dec to 14th Dec 2019. She is a wonderful, cheerful and most importantly her service is excellent. She tried her best to ensure everyone in our group had a comfortable and pleasant memorable holiday in Sichuan. Aline can speak good English and communication isn't a problem. I visited China in 2018 and fell in love with Chengdu. So I decided to move to Chengdu. With my Chinese being, at best, embarrassing, I was going to need a lot of help in relocating there. Found in a review here that Aline had helped in a relocation before. I contacted Aline and she accepted the challenge. We got it done and saw the town in half the time I had planned for it. Aline was (and still is) great to work with. Smart, efficient, with a great sense of humor. Excellent English. My moving to China was a great idea. But the best idea was getting Aline's help. My first trip to Chengdu was very enjoyable and an outstanding success thanks to having the help of 2 tour guides that worked together to assist me. I contacted Aline initially before the trip and provided suggestions of places that I wanted to visit. Aline organised everything, however was temporarily unavailable for guiding at the time of my visit. Aline’s business partner Winnie stepped in and provided excellent tour guide service and assistance while I was in Chengdu. Winnie was flexible and included everything I wanted to see & do and created a practical itinerary in line with my interests and time available. Also has the ability to adjust the itinerary at short notice. Assisted with transportation card and how to use the public transport system. I also had the opportunity to meet Aline who assisted me with purchase and installation of a China mobile sim card for the mobile phone and provided assistance through WeChat when needed. Everything worked out as planned, both guides are honest, reliable, friendly and very knowledgeable about Chengdu. If I return to Chengdu I would have no hesitation of contacting Aline again. I only had 1 full day to spend in Chengdu and I had a long, involved agenda I needed to accomplish. On very short notice Aline was able to arrange and carry-out everything I wanted and needed to do.

She arranged for me to be picked up at the airport (driver with a sign with MY name on it so I knew it was the right driver and not a scam or over-zealous taxi driver trying to rip me off). The driver took me to my hotel (recommended by Aline) which was fabulous and was less than $70 US per night and easily 4-5 star hotel (if in the US). The next morning I was picked up again and taken to the Panda Base with escort. Escort knew where to park and we walked quickly ahead of the hundreds upon hundreds of other people walking a long distance to get to the park entrance. After the Panda base, Aline found and arranged an interview for me (specific to my PhD dissertation research) which will go a long ways toward helping me put together part of my research. This was invaluable, as a) I would have never found such a person on my own and b) having studied Mandarin, I would have been lost with the gentleman's Sichuan dialect - Aline acted as interpreter and asked him the questions I needed answered and translated his replies to me to take my notes. We spent nearly an hour meeting with, talking and learning from this gentleman. Only someone with a breadth of Sichuan experience and vast network of connections could have located someone for me to interview on such short notice (She had about 1 week from my first contact with her to the day I arrived). After the interview, she took me shopping and quickly (effortlessly) found a shop which carried the exact item I wanted to buy for my wife. There was no driving around searching or endless walking - I knew what I was looking for and she navigated the way straight there.

I would say, that if you are going to Chengdu, don't even hesitate deciding whether to use this guide. Anything you want to do while there, she will find the way and deftly maneuver you around the city avoiding the pitfalls of tourist traps and keeping you out of harms way which can be a normal hazard in a large city when one is unfamiliar with the terrain. You need not look any further for a guide. Her command of English is tremendous, as well as her ability to act as your agent when dealing with local vendors, etc. Book with her now and look no more, you wont be sorry you chose this guide for your trip to Chengdu.

On my first trip to Chengdu, I had Aline guide me and my mother around Chengdu and setup transportation for when we visited Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. I am usually a solo traveller and I can't stand the corporate tours that are more about shopping than sightseeing. But since Chengdu's sights are pretty spreadout and my inability to speak the language, I decided to hire a guide. I originally contacted Aline to just setup transportation for me in Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. But after communicating with her, I decided to have her guide us around Chengdu and the major sights outside the city.

All correspondance with her up until the day of my trip was prompt and concise. When we finally arrived in Chengdu and met Aline, I could instantly tell that she was very knowledgeable about the Chengdu, Chongqing, and Sichuan culture. I feel when travelling, you should try to get the perspective of locals. When we arrived at each sight she was able to tell us little tidbits, historical background, and information you don't find in guidebooks.

She also organized our transportation in Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong with no issues. The drivers were professional, safe, and prompt. We did not feel any hassle and it seemed that Aline contacted each driver to ensure that our wishes were conveyed.

After spending time with Aline, we were able to exchange information about our different backgrounds freely. I feel that after our experience with her, she hselped us feel less like a tourist and more like a friend visiting. I highly recommend her to guide you around Sichuan/Chengdu.

PS: Book a hotel in Central Chengdu, Traffic is horrendous.

Aline was our tour guide for three days in early January 2015 - we were a group of three friends from Australia.  Aline was fantastic.  As well as being our guide, she provided us with assistance with day to day matters such as accessing mobile phone sim cards, laundry and general tips on eating close to our hotel.

Because it was was private service, we were able to tailor the trip to focus on things that  we were interested in seeing.  In preparing the trip Aline was fantastic in providing advice.  She was very responsive in communicating through email and ensured that we were able to do everything we wanted to do.

In Chengdu, Aline was always punctual.  During our outings she was accommodating to our requests to stop for food, coffee, etc.  She was also very knowledgeable and provided us with heaps of information on what we were seeing.

Aline really made our time in Chengdu very enjoyable.  She made us feel like we were old friends, but she was always focused on ensuring that she was providing a professional, but friendly service.  She recommended tour guides for other parts of our China trip (who happened to also be fantastic) and she even checked up on me when I was hospitalised in Shanghai at the end of my trip.

I have no hesitation in recommending Aline to be your guide.  She truly made our time in Chengdu enjoyable and hassle free.  When I return to Chengdu I will definitely use Aline again!!
