Ebenezer Like 0

We had a short  girly trip  to Lijiang for 4 days  recently and had booked Ebenezer as our guide for  2 days.  I have to say that Ebenezer is a great choice ,  he speaks mandarin, cantonese and English fuently,  he knows the places to go to on and off the beaten track, he has sound advice for photography and is  very helpful and will go out of his way to help.   I would certainly look Ebenezer up again for any china tours  i consider in the future.  Most importantly he is a very safe driver with  saftey  as a priority for his customers.  One piece of advice would be to communicate  more with Ebenezer  to plan the trip before hand   and to communicate what it is  you are looking to do , see  and  eat  while on your trip  then he can best cater to your groups  interests and  preferences.

We hiked with Ebenezer for 4 days in total and were impressed with his knowledge of the local area. He took us to some very scenic spots in Yunnan and clearly has a passion for this area of the world. Ebenezer speaks fluent English and has great respect for the environment and local cultures in Yunnan. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the way of life in the villages that we visited and cares greatly about improving the villagers' lives and contributing in a positive way to these communities. Should our travels take us back to Yunnan, we will certainly be using the services of Ebenezer again.

I traveled with Tim Mannakee to Yunnan Province during March 2014 and the last week we had Ebenezer as our photographic guide and local leader. Ebenezer was excellent. He is fluent in English and has a fantastic knowledge of the area. We visited Dali, Lijang, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-la and many other locations suitable for photography. He knew when the light would be appropriate for the locations and this obviously is very important for photographers. He was friendly and prepared to help anyone in our group. He also asked us what type of food we liked and ordered food that would be eaten and enjoyed. This was important to us as we had on several occasions been given food that none of us liked and we did not want to waste food.

Ebenezer is the man to choose if you are looking for a guide. I thoroughly recommend him.

Ebenezer was our guide during up one week trip to Yunan. From the time he picked us up at Lijiang airport & throughout our amazing journey across the old towns of Shuhe & Shaxi and through Shangrila and Tiger Leaping Gorge, Ebenezer was the perfect companion, showing us the best there was to see and experience, in his very reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle. He is a very safe driver and never took any risks. He was extremely accommodating and did everything with us, even climbing up the 4300 metres to the top of Snow Mountain and trekking the 4km distance around the Pudacuo National Park. He accompanied us up the steep hills to the temples of SongZanlin & Shibaoshan and the amazing formations of Baishuitai and the Spectacular Tiger Leaping Gorge. He also did our bookings for guest houses that weren't listed on the regular English booking websites which was extremely helpful. One of our most memorable experiences is our meeting & 15 minute conversation and blessing with The Living Buddha at SongZanlin temple which would not have been possible without Ebenezer. The tips on meditation and the beads given to us by The Living Buddha is something that we will always treasure. Ebenezer is easy to talk to and it was great to have him there to answer our million and one questions about the locations, history and local cultures & customs. Once he knew that we loved the local food, he recommended superb local fare, allowing us to sample the exotic flavours and fresh produce of each region. Some memorable meals were the spicy hotpots & the fresh trout, the mushroom and duck soup & all the delicious fresh vegetables. On our last day in Liziang town, he took us to a funky little place where we had a delicious hot chicken noodle soup with tons of little ingredients that we mixed. The result was simply divine! We have left Yunan with incredibly beautiful memories, in a large part due to Ebenezer's excellent guiding and knowledge of the region for which we will be forever grateful. For my trip to Lijiang I contacted Ebenezer, about whom I read from many good reviews in the Internet. I was very satisfied with his efficient services. I was not disappointed.

Ebenezer is fluent in English and very knowledgeable in the local geography and culture. He guided me in many attractions in Lijiang and around, showing me off-the-track villages and locations.

Advance payment for his services was done smoothly through PayPal and his fees are reasonable for the services rendered.

I highly recommend Ebenezer if you look for a good guide in Yunnan and I know for myself that when I come back there, very soon, with my wife and friends I will engage Ebenezer's services again for a longer period.

Ebenezer was my guide and organizer for mushroom hunting trip for Boletus edulis in Yunnan,  it was research and photographing for a book I am writing.  He took me to a valley a couple of hours west of Dali,  where he had found a farmer that wanted to bring us out and up in the hills to show how he did it.   We spent three days with them,  had lunch and dinner with the family and it was just an excellent experience.   Ebenezer is a very friendly person,  good with people and relaxed in all his doings.  He made things happen, often on short notice without any fuzz.  I also appreciate that he was concrete in his concrete advice on how much to pay for peoples assistance.  His car is also just spot on for Yunnan dirt roads in the rainy season.  I can highly recommend Ebenezer to any kind of tours.  Just challenge him!
