My first encounter with the beauty of Shangri-la would not have been this memorable if I hadnt met Aten for his tour guide service last year. My friend and I had a great time in Shangri-la because of his knowledge of this scenic Tibetan region in Yunnan.

We went to Xiao Zhongdian, Bai Shui Tai Terrace and we also went riding with him and his colleagues. The fact that he was born in this region added great value to our understanding of the real life and culture of the people there. He was very knowledgeable when introducing the history and background of each of the places we visited and on top of that, being Tibetan himself, he also imparted the basics of Tibetan Buddhism to us the laymen which we found very inspiring and interesting.

We simply found him a very sincere and fun tour guide who is full of passion and enthusiasm to host anyone who is keen to explore the Shangri-la and just for the record, ours was made a memorable one and till now, we keep talking about making a second visit some time soon.

Aten managed to organize a wonderful trip for me to Shangrila, meet local people and finally walk down the Mekong River to Weixi. He has excellent interpersonal skills, speaks  Tibetan and negotiate well when you need a car or a hotel. Aten is honest and straightforward in his approach, has demonstrated a high degree of loyalty and trustworthiness to his customers and has carried out his obligations with vigor and resolve.
