National Museum of Gyeongju (경주  국립박물관) is another big museum in southern Korean peninsula. Gyeongju it more than 2,000 years old city and it was capital city of Silla Kingdom (BC57 ~ AD935). Thus it has very interesting and priceless treasures. 

Gyeongju is mostly walking are to take a tour this museum is good place for the tourist to take some break or look around more to understand more about Korea.

Bulkuksa is Buddhist temple. It was estabilished in 8th century during Silla Kingdom. Many people think it is necessary to visit if want to understand Korea. Let's understand how how the small Kingdom became biggest and unified three Kingdoms. After unification, Silla Kingdom made a most beautiful Buddhist arts, this Bulkuksa is an essence of them. * It is in Gyeongju city please open Gyeongju city in South Korea.

The must see in Gyeongju, Seokguram Grotto is a hermitage and part of the Bulguksa temple complex in Gyeongju city.

It will take about 5 hours from Seoul to the south east by car. It is four kilometers east of the Bulkuksa temple on Mt. Tohamsan.  It is classified as National Treasure No. 24 by the South Korean government. 

The grotto overlooks the East Sea and rests 750 meters above sea level.

 

It was designated the 24th national treasure of Korea In 1962. Seokguram was listed to the UNESCO World Heritage In 1995(together with the Bulguksa Temple). 

 

It exemplifies the best Buddhist sculptures in the world. Because it has combination of arts, architecture, science, geometry.

Bulkuksa is the most priority destination in South Korea. 

 

It is the most famous tourist attraction from 8th century. It was expended and built in 751 by Kim Daeseong by the order of king. Its meaning is "The Buddha's World". Also it has metaphor, the Silla Kingdom (BC57 ~ AD935) is the unified at the time it was built so the Buddha's World is peaceful that is to say the Unified Silla Kingdom peaceful and the King has the all the rights.

Yangdong Folk Village(양동마을) is the village where the people is living there. 

It is famous for producing 3 famous high officials, and 2 people are born here. There is still one more people who will be high officials like prime minister. 

It is shape is like Chinese letter MUL(Things). It is near by the Gyeongju city. So it is good chance to see Yangdong Folk Village when you go to the Gyeongju.
