The best way to enjoy the scenery is to take a boat ride between Guilin and Yangshuo; since the terrain is flat, many travelers like to bicycle back.

Detailed itinerary

our tour guide and driver will meet you up at the lobby of the your hotel at 8am , then drive about 45mins get to zhujiang wharf ,(please note that the boat will departure on time since it is large boat shared with 60 people, please be punctual for the meet time with your guide,) ,

upon arrival , you will get the 4-star cruise tickets for the upper deck seats and check in with the passport ,pass the security check, then wait for boarding on the boat ,the cruise start usually start at 9:20 am, you will have 4-4.5 hours be on the cruise to be relaxed and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the li river, , your guide will company you to the cruise , and driver will drive down to yangshuo and meet you there,  there is western  toilet available on the cruise , simple buffet lunch will be served on the cruise at 11;40 am ,about 1;30 pm ,will get to the desitination yangshuo ,

, then you will have 30-50mins flexible time to explore the west street with your guide, after that Your driver will meet you at the parking lot out the west street , and drive you to the countryside –Yulong river ecological park , your guide will take you bike along the riverside for about 1hour or take the electric car to tour the yulong river valley , then rafting man will paddle the bamboo raft( 2adults for each raft , please note , kids below 7 years old & elderly people over 70 years old wont be allowed to take the raft)  for you tour the yulong river on the water for about 1hour (small tip for the rafting man will be appreciated but no force tipping) , after the bamboo raft , your guide and driver will take you back to the hotel in the city or yangshuo safely and finish our day tour ,(if you stay in yangshuo , please let us know before the tour , so we could remind you check out the hotel in the city and transfer the luggage to yangshuo with the driver while you go with cruise)

The most beautiful part of the Li River is between Xingping and Yangdi. Stretching all the way from Guilin, well past Yangshuo,Li River boat trips are often the most awe inspiring highlight on any visitor’s schedule. 
The performance was premiered on March 20th, 2004 at the Sanjie Liu Sing Fair, one mile from West Street. This is the world largest natural theater which utilizes the waters of the Li River as its stage, with twelve mist shrouded hills and the heavens as its backdrop.

The Li River traverses 83 kilometers between Guilin and Yangshuo. You will be amazed by the stunning landscapes along the river. The rocks and caves are fantastic, the deep pools, the springs and waterfalls come one by one. The most beautiful part of the Li River is between Xingping and Yangdi. Stretching all the way from Guilin, well past Yangshuo,Li River boat trips are often the most awe inspiring highlight on any visitor’s schedule.

Its auditorium is housed on the natural islands of the river with the audience sitting on the designed terraces, surrounded by green plants. The sound equipment here cannot be seen because it is in harmony with the natural environment. The valleys, the hills, the cool breeze and the gurgling streams are all elements contributing to the three-dimensional sound effect. Day by day, different weather offers different sceneries with the four seasons refreshing the performance as well.  You will have unique experience every time you watch it.

Here below is the Itinerary:

 8am,driver meet you at Your centrally located hotel from Guilin city

9:30am to 1:30pm  on the cruise(Four star boat)

1:35pm to 1:50pm,transfer you to your hotel in Yangshuo

6:45pm ,driver will pick you up to the show(The show ticket is Normal seat) from your centrally located hotel from Yangshuo town

9pm,driver take you to the hotel after the show

there are three options for tour the Li River and yangshuo countryside for one day tour based on different price,Option 1: Cruise tour which is more relaxing for enjoy the view on the cruise, takes 4hours including lunch on the cruise, after the cruise we drive to the countryside for cycling tour or hiking tour see the best view of the landscape  then finish the day(500dollor per group maximum 4person  )

Option 2 we can take the bamboo raft make 2hours tour for the best part of liver from yangdi to Xingping. Have lunch in Xingpin, Then we drive one hour (very beautiful on the way)back from Xingpin to daxu ancient for 1,5hour ,walk in the town and visit local residen family to learn how instresting life used to be even within electricity without mobile phone , then we finish the day take you back to the hotel (price 350per group,maximum 4persons)

option 3 more for people who are energetic and love out door activities, the same we tour the river from yangshuo and stop from nin horse hill tour the best part of the river , then start hiking to xianggong hill for 2hours and climb to the husband hill for the best view of the river and karst landscape, lunch in local restaurant, then go biking tour to yulong river for 2hours, then we drive you back to the hotel (price: 350for per group maximum 4person)

Itinerary:

Day 1: Li River (Cruise) -- Yanghshuo (Yulong River)

Pick you up at your hotel in Guilin in the morning. Then you will drive to Zhujiang Wharf and take a 4 star cruise that goes to Yangshuo from Guilin.

The Li River Cruise ranges 83 kilometers from Guilin to Yangshuo and is famous for the Karst mountain and river sights. It was selected as one of the world's top 10 watery wonders by America's National Geographic magazine. If you don't like big ship cruise, you have an choice of taking a small local bamboo boat at Yangdi Pier. The maximum passenger capacity of the bamboo boat is 4 people. You could get the whole boat without other tourists. You will cruise on the best part of Li River. After you finished Li River cruise then you will go to Yulong River and do bamboo rafting there. The maximum capacity of a bamboo raft is 2 passengers at a time. The rafting tour is from Jinglong Bridge Pier (Golden Dragon Bridge Pier) to Jiuxian Pier (Old County Pier). It's one of the best part of Yulong River. You could do Yulong River Tour by a helicopter as well (It's an optional activity). You could take a bicycle riding along the Yulong River and cycling in Ten-miles Gallery (If you are seniors and don't like this kind of activity, then just skip it).

Day 2: Xianggong Mountain -- Longsheng (Longji Rice Terraces)

Today you will go to Xianggong Mountain for seeing the stunning scenery of Li River and get a bird view at the mountain top. (The stairs on the mountain is quite deep. However the mountain is not very tall.) After you did the mountain, then transfer to Longji Rice Terraces (Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces), Longsheng county (It takes about 3.5 hours by car). The rice fields is built into the hillsides, the terraces are beautiful when the sun reflects on the water of the paddy fields, and the fields glow with yellow ears when the harvest is ripe. Longji (‘Dragon's Back') is always a feast for the eyes. Longji Rice Terraces consists of 3 main parts. They are Rice Terraces of Ping'an Village, Rice Terraces of Jingken Dazhai Village and Rice Terraces of Longji Ancient Zhuang Village. You will take a cable car up to the mountain top for getting a panoramic view of the rice terraces in Dazhai village. And you will also visit Ping'an Village as well.

Day 3: The Moon and the Sun Twin Pagodas Culture Park -- Reed Flute Cave

Seeing the sunrise at Longji Rice Terraces (optional). Then you will go to The Moon and the Sun Twin Pagodas Culture Park, you could do a boat ride there. After the pagodas you will explore Reed Flute Cave. At the end of the tour, dropping you off at Guilin airport or any hotel you booked in Guilin city downtown area (depends on your requirement)
