Haba snow mountain

This trip will take you to the mysterious black sea and Haba mountain,  Best time to do this trip in Spring-early summer(April - June ) and Autumn (later semptemper to early November). 

Alpine flowers are blooming and trees, meadows are getting green in spring and summer.  Azelea and Rodhodendron season is May to middle June.

Haba mountain looks like a colorful world in Autumn.  July to Middle september is rainy season,  not very good season for the trekking trip .

You stay stay 2 nights on haba mountain (1 night at nent and the other night at haba basecamp dormitory ) .  Hiking from Haba village (2700m above sea level ) to alpine meadow (3300) and stay over night there,  elevation of Haba mountain basecamp is 4050m above sea level. 

Trip itinerary:

D1, Arrive Lijiang and transfer to Haba village, over night at Haba village.

D2, Haba village- Alpine meadow, over night at alpine meadow

D3, Alpine meadow-Black sea-Yellow lake-Basecamp, over night at Basecamp.

D4, Base camp-Summit of Haba mountain-basecamp- Haba village.

Haba mountain is 5396m above sea level, a popular hiking destionaton for hikers around the world.  hiker can climb to the top if the weather is good. best season to hike to haba mountain is middle of March to middle of November.  Please  contact me for  planning to to hike on Haba mountain .  here is a rough daily schedule ：

Day 1, Arrive Lijiang, tour around Lijiang

Pick up from Lijiang airport/train station,  Visit Black dragon pool park, Shuhe old town, Lijiang old town ,  over night at Lijiang.

Day 2. Lijiang- Tiger leaping gorge- Haba village

Drive to tiger leaping gorge , Visit Tiger leaping gorge and drive to Haba village

Day 3. Haba village-Base camp

Hike to base camp from Haba village , over night at Base camp(4100m)

Day 4. Hike haba mountain-Haba village

Hike to Haba mountain from base camp then back to Haba village , Over night at Haba village 

Day 5.   Haba village-White water village-Shangrila

Drive from Haba village to Shangrila ,  Visit White water terrace， Shangrila old town

Day 6. Shangrila tour and departure from Shangrila

Songzanlin monastery ,  Tibetan family visit , transfer to Shangrila airport.

Pick up from your hotel start our trip toward T.L.G. on our way we'll visit the first bend of Yantze river and then drive up to Qiaotou start hike.
D2: Tea horse guest to middle gorge (7-8hs by hike) Over night Walnut GH. B. L.D
Hiking from the gusthouse to Tina's have lunch. after good rest visit middle Tiger leaping gorge.
D3: Walnut to Haba base camp (2hs by car 6-7hs by hike) Over night Base camp B.L.D
Viewing the low part of gorge with car and up to Haba village. meet horse man rearrange our luggage Then start hiking through villages,forest up to base camp.
D4: Tour around base camp (5-6hs by hike) Over night Base camp B.L.D
Today we'll make tour around base camp to visit alpine lake, plants... adapting the altitude and ready for next day
D5:Base camp to Top of Haba snow mountain and down to Haba village. (8-9hs by hike) Over night at Haba family GH. B.L.D
We'll start early to reach top 5396m before Sun rise.get an bird's eye view of the region and hike down to Haba village.
D6: Haba village to Shangri-la (2hs hike 6h by car) Over night at Old town Tibetan GH B.L.D
Driving through villages and on our way we'll visit White water terrace and do some short hike to interesting village before reached Shangri-la.
D7: Day tour around Shangri-la (optional by car or by bike 7-8h tour) Over night at Old town Tibetan GH B.L.D
Today we'll visit the Small Potala palace (Sontsamlin monastery). Napa lake.And visit a Tibetan Family.
D8: Tour end
