Day 1 Arrival Beijing (/)
This wonderful 8 Days China Tour start with the airport pick up service upon arriving in Beijing, the capital of China, a friendly tour guide is waiting for you at the exit of Beijing International Airport with a welcome sign of your name. The guide will accompany you to your hotel in Beijing. Free rest of the day for you to rest and relax!
Day 2 Beijing tour, Beijing city tour (B, L)
Start your Beijing exploration with first visit to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is located in the city center of Beijing. It is a must-see place of visitors who come to Beijing. There are a lot of famous buildings and the highest authority offices of China are also around this area. Tiananmen Square is the best place for large scale public celebration or gatherings with great political influence.
After a short visit and photo taking at Tiananmen Square, you will stroll through the Tiananmen Gate and enter the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world: the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was home to emperors of Ming and Qing dynasty and it is now a most famous park and museum in Beijing. It is now called Palace Museum and opened to public since 1925. And Forbidden City was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. There are lots of precious relics inside and the Forbidden City is the best place to study the ancient civilization of China in all aspects.
In the afternoon, you will take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Temple of Heaven is also called Tiantan Park now. It is a magnificent and colorful park located in the south of Beijing city. It is also in the World Heritage Sites list of UNESCO.
After the day tour, we suggest you go to taste and enjoy Peking roast duck dinner, and a chinese traditional Arobatics show in the evening. (Optional, price exclude)
Day 3 Beijing tour, Beijing Great Wall & Ming Tombs tour (B, L)
After breakfast, drive about one hour to the the Thirteen MingTombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers northwest from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000. You will see lots of ancient relics showing in the Tombs, such as pearls, jade, silks and so on. After visiting the tombs, you are going to see chinese traditional jade carving museum, and enjoy the amazing the carving skills on jade, you also can buy some souvenirs there.
Afer lunch, you will proceed to the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China was the most enormous engineering and building project in the world. The Great Wall is usually regarded as one of the most famous World Wonder in human history. The Great Wall was a huge defense project to protect invasion from the north. It is China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China. You will visit best preserved and the highest point of the Great Wall in Beijing.
Day 4 Beijing tour and depart for Guilin (B, L)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Arrive at Guilin, which is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery, you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Your hotel is located in downtown area. Free at leisure for the rest of the day for you to explore the city by yourselves.
Day 5 Guilin tour, Li River cruise to Yangshuo (B, L)
Enjoy a relaxing day of cruising on the scenic Li River. In the morning you will drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to start the Li River cruise. Along the river, you will be inspired by the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, crystal-clear water, lush bamboos and villages with water buffalos. The 4 hours curise tour ends at Yangshuo. The boat arrives at Yangshuo after lunch.
Yangshuo is a beautiful and quaint ancient town with one thousand years' old. You will be free in Yangshuo in the afternoon. You can enjoy a leisure time walking or relaxing in West Street. You can arrange your own activities in Yangshuo, like cycling or bamboo rafting on Yulong River (optinal, price exclude) before back to Guilin.
Day 6 Guilin tour and depart for Shanghai (B, L)
You will continue to explore some of Guilin natural wonders: first to The Reed Flute Cave, called as "Art Palace of the Nature". This splendid karst cave is full with a myriad of stalactites and stalagmites formulates various bizarre scenes. Reed Flute Cave is the most spectacular caves in world.
And then you will go to the symbol of Guilin city- Elephant Trunk Hill that the whole hill looks like a giant elephant with a long trunk drinking along the Li River. Elephant Trunk Hill is a must-see of a Guilin tour. After that, you will take an afternoon flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in Shanghai.
Day 7Shanghai city tour (B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple with a 2 meter high sitting white Jade Buddha and the 400-year old Yu Yuan Garden. Yu Yuan Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics. Then proceed to visit the Bund, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s. You also have a chance to visit the Shanghai Museum and the famous Nanjing Road among crowds.
Day 8 Depart Shanghai (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
