The Longji Rice Terraces Tour starts at 8:00 am in Guilin or 7:00 in Yangshuo. You will be picked up from your hotel in Guilin or your hotel in Yangshuo. We take our tour in Ping'an Rice Terrace, the people there are Zhuang Ethinic. Longji Rice Terraces are located in Longsheng County a little more than 2 hours drive from Guilin. Huangluo Yao village where lives Red Yao people is the only one of Yao ethnic group among all the thirteen villages in Longji. The women in the village enjoy wearing red clothes. But the extremely important characteristic of the village is that it's known as the Long-hair Village. According to local tradition, women cut their hair only once in their lives - at about 16 to 18 years old when they are considered ready for adulthood and marriage. The cut hair is kept like a headpiece, and twisted into part of their regular hairdo.

Yao people are good at singing and dancing, they like sing folksongs to spread their centuries-old splendid history and reflect their happy life. Red Yao is a open mind ethnic group, they are wise in looking for love and express their love. You can appreciate the wonderful songs and dances performed by those Red Yao girls with their long hair. Long Hair Show of Red Yao Women in Longji Huangluo Yao Village is usually recommended by tour guides as an add-on programs.

Pingan Rice Terrace is the most famous rice terrace, named after the nearby village of Pingan. The terraced Fields in Pingan village show a picture of great momentum and imposing beauty. The best time for a good photo is in early June, when the paddies are pumping with water, the villages are transferring young plant of rice from the seed bed to large areas of rice terrace.

Pingan is home to some of the most stunning rice terraces in the world. The Rice Terraces is nested within the high lofty mountain range, resembling great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill at the elevation of 1,916 meters above the sea level. The highest elevation of the terraced field is 1,180 meters above the sea level while its lowest elevation is 380 meters above the sea level, having a vertical drop of 800 meters. The Rice Terraces covers a total area of 71.6 square kilometers.

The tour bus will leave Longji for Guilin at about 15:30 and arrive in Guilin at about 18:20 pm.
