Tour Description
The tour guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in the morning, and then your will join the bus trip to Ming Tombs, about 50 miles away from downtown Beijing. The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. You will visit Changling, the first and the largest tomb of the 13 Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing, Zhudi, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, reign 1403-1424) and his Empress Xu were buried there. The visit on the Ming Tombs needs 1 hour at least.
After lunch, your bus tour will proceed to the Badaling Great Wall, 70 km north of Beijing city. Great Wall is an ancient military defence project and the Badaling Great Wall is a very important pass to protect Beijing City on the north side. The hike on Badaling Great Wall takes 2 hours. You will see the most famous and best-preserved part of the Great Wall. Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. There is cable car to help travelers to go to the top the Great Wall (optional, price exclude). After the Great Wall tour, you will take the bus back to your hotel in Beijing. (L)
