Getting Datong & Away

Air 

Located 20km east of the city , Datong's  airport has flights to Beijing (Y400 rmb ) , Xi'an (Y1200 rmb),Shanghai (Y1450 rmb) , Hainan island (Y2500 rmb) and Guangzhou(Y1630rmb). Buy tickets at Aviation Travel Service . There are buses go to the airport , cost Y10 rmb each. A taxi costs around Y40 rmb.

Bus

Buses to Beijing (Y120 rmb 4.5 hours ,eight daily ) leave from the South Bus Station (新南站0352-503 2555)

For Hanging Temple (Y35rmb each ,2hours regular services 6.30am to 6pm), go to the main bus station (大同汽车站0352-246 4464)

Train 

Servics include Beijing Y54 to Y105 rmb , 6.5 hours ,frequent services, Pingyao Y75 to Y80 rmb seven to eight hours , and Xi'an Y135rmb, 16.5 hours.
