One Child Much Money
As more young people born in the 1980s begin to marry , the formerly widespread belief in more children more happiness diminishes. To today's urban youth, establishing a career is a far more pressing priority than having children.
Raising children in China today is not cheap ,particularly in big cities. The expenses start long before a baby is born. During her nine months of pregnancy. a mother-to-be spends around RMB5.000 on regular medical check-ups ,tests, quality nourishment and clothes. In some cases expenses are as high as RMB20.000 . Each month some families spend around RMB1.500 on food , baby care and medical costs.
