The two most popular tourist attractions in Rome are Ancient Rome and the Coliseum, and the Vatican.

On the Vatican Tour your guide will passionately lead you through the galleries of the Vatican Museums, providing you with historical facts, leaving you plenty of time to take photos and to absorb the breathtaking beauty of the masterpieces.

Afterwards you will enter the Sistine Chapel where you will catch sight of the ingenious frescoes by Michelangelo. Then once you are in the main Basilica of St Peter you can wonder at the emotive Pietà of Michelangelo, and become mesmerized by the swirling bronze sculptures of the master Bernini.

The Vatican Museums open to the public at 9am but customers of City Lights Tours are able to enter before all of the crowds at 8am by special arrangement. After a Cappuccino at the Caffé Vaticano,  where we will meet, we can proceed in crossing the street and enter an other state: Vatican City, here we will visit the galleries of the Museum where roman ancient statues are in the same rooms since the 16yh century, when the Pope found them underground in the first excavations... then jumping in the time machine we will see Michelangelo's masterpiece: the Sistine Chapel, to finish this first part of the visit we will step in the world biggest church: Saint Peters Basilica and we will admire Berninis' Colonnade in the square before the church.

After a light lunch Italian style, an amazing walk is waiting for you: we will climb the steps of the Colosseum to have the best point of view for your pictures and you will experience one day of a roman citizen of the 1st century A.D. passing from the Gladiator games to the Piazza (forum) where the political, religious, economical and juridical life was taking place ...
