Zhuang ethnic costumes of Mengzi

Tulao Zhuang ethnic branch:

Tulao ladies like to wear long hair pinned with headgear locally called “Zhage”: silvery hairpins, red and green thread. They also wear crepe on the forehead while blue square scarf on the head; the belt of the scarf is normally decorated with tiny silvery bells designed with lion patterns. Other clothes include traditional jackets, vests, trousers, and aprons, all of which are embroidered with various patterns such as plants, animals and people etc.

Nong Zhuang ethnic branch:

Female members of Nong Zhuang ethnic branch wear collarless traditional jacket, the facade, corners and cuffs of which are all embroidered; blue pleated skirts, cusped embroidered shoes; and they also wear hair buns, black turbans, and delicately-embroidered square scarves etc.
