Kaichangwa, the New Year Festival of the Dulongs
Kaichangwa, also Kaquewa, is the grandest Dulong ethnic festival equivalent to the Chinese New Year Festival. It is normally spent in January though the date and tine are not fixed--and the duration depends on whether or not the food is abundance. Generally speaking, the festival lasts five days, and people will get together for celebration and praying for good lucks.
Dulong ethnic members in Kunming celebrated the festival on 27 January.
