Wa ethnic "drum dance"

Locally called "mgraog grōg" in the Wa ethnic dialect, the dance originates from the Wa ethnic religious service--Lamugu (Towing the drum: every one or two years, Wa villagers must log in the forests, and tow a big trunk back to the village to make new drums.). Held once a year in every Wa ethnic village, the Lamugu service is carried out in lunar January and lasts as long as two weeks.
