An unforgettable day in what used to be a flourishing Roman colony at the end of the 2nd century A.D, known under the name of Tomis. Explore one of the best archaeological museums in south-eastern Europe and the remains of the Roman mosaic and discover what brought the famous poet Ovid on the shores of the Black Sea. Continue by exploring the present-day city of Constanta, before you relax by the beach in Romania's most famous beach resort. Finish the day with a drive and visit to what is known as Romania's Pompeii, the 7th century B.C. Greek citadel of Histria.

We meet at the hotel lobby/ passenger terminal and have a short drive to Ovid's Square, old city square, where we discover the statue of the Roman poet Ovid followed by a visit to the Museum of Archaeology and to the vast remains of the Roman mosaics. We continue the tour with a short walk into the streets of the old historical city of Constanta and see the largest Turkish Mosque in the city, the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Cathedral. We finish our walk by the Black Sea and romantic view of the old Casino and Genovese Lighthouse. We drive to Mamaia, Romania's best resort at the Black Sea Coast where we have free time for shopping and coffee/ refreshments, opportunities for lunch. The last part of the day is reserved for driving to the ancient Greek citadel of Histria. Visit of the Greek ruins and of the archaeological museum. Drive back to Constanta.
