PELES & BRAN ( DRACULA ) CASTLES TOUR from Constanta

Driving from Constanta through the majestic landscapes of the Carpathians ( apprs. 352 km) and stop at the Royal Castle of Peles , in Sinaia . Continue road drive to Busteni , Predeal and Brasov . Walking to the narrow medieval streets - Rope street is one of them - of the historical centre, admire the famous "Black Church", the old Council Square , etc.The day end with dinner in old city center . Next day , we get ready to visit the renowned Dracula ( Bran ) Castle looking for the truth behind Romania's most famous legend - Dracula , and investigate the legend that put Transylvania on the world map. Three stops on the way to Bran : first to admire Brasov from up , 2nd in Poiana Brasov - the most famous romanian winter sports resort and 3rd to visit Rasnov fortress . After visit Bran Castle we take lunch in area ( Bran Vila resort ) , than drive back to Constanta ( apprs. 400 km ) .

Sun 12 - 19; NOVEMBER - APRIL from Tue / Sat 10 - 15, Sun 12 - 15), Mondays (Bran opens at 12 hrs and Peles Palace closed) and Tuesdays (Peles Castle closed during winter). Annually during November Peles Castle is closed for maintenance. Pelisor Palace visiting from Thursday to Sunday.   Important : DAY 1 + Day 2 ~~ 900 km toor involve long driving !

Day 1

06.30 - meeting at hotel / passenger terminal / railway station

06.45 - 11.30 - drive to Sinaia (convenience stop on the way, opportunity for coffee/ refreshments )

11.30 - 13.30 - visit of Peles Castle, walk in the gardens .

13.30 - 16.00 - drive to Brasov . Photo`s stops in Busteni , Azuga , Predeal . Continue to Brasov , check - in at hotel .

18.00 - Walking tour of Brasov (Council Square, Schei District, Ecaterina Gate, Jewish Sinagogue, Black Church). Day ends with dinner at one of the local restaurants .

DAY 2

07.15 - 08.00 breakfast .

08.15 - departure towards Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) via Poiana Brasov. Short photo`s stop at bellvue platform over Brasov , photo`s stop in Romania's most famous skiing resort, Poiana Brasov , stop to visit Rasnov fortress .

11.00 - 14.30 visit of Dracula's Castle and free time for souvenir shopping with the local vendors , lunch , cofee , refreshments

15.30 - 20.30 Drive from Bran back to Constanta via Paraul Rece .

CONSTANTA WALKING TOUR

Our walking tour will take us into the narrow streets of the historical district of Constanta and we will discover the secret of this amazing mix of cultures and civilizations. On the list of places to see there are the worship places of all the ethnic minorities of the city: the Greek Orthodox Church, the Armenian Church, the Jewish Synagogue, the Turkish Mosque (visit inside), The Catholic Church, The Romanian Orthodox Cathedral (visit inside). Listen to captivating stories to make sense of this overwhelming mix and take it all in. Relax by the statue of the great Roman poet Ovid, take your time and sip a cup of coffee in front of the beautiful building of the Archaeological Museum and then head to the Black Sea shores to see the grandiose Casino and its lovely promenade.

CONSTANTA PAST AND PRESENT - CITY TOUR

This tour helps you connect the dots of the eclectic city Constanta is today. From the exquisite marble statues and artifacts of the Greek and Roman heritage to the unprecedented development of the city at the end of the 19th century and the complete redesign of the communist period – you need a local to make sense of it all.

We begin our tour with a visit to the Archaeological Museum and then move next door to see the remains of the ancient Roman mosaics. We follow Ovid, the unfortunate poet who found his end here, and find out his sad story. We continue our tour with a walk in the streets of the historical district of Constanta and slowly reach the promenade and its romantic Casino and Genovese lighthouse at the Black Sea, the landmarks of the city. On the way, we get to understand the essence of religious tolerance of Eastern Europe with four major worship places located within 300 meters of one another. The tour ends with a drive to Mamaia, Romania’s best resort on the Black Sea Coast, and some time at the beach for shopping and refreshments.
