We start our tour at Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a magnificent architectural complex. Its furnishings are the grandest you will find anywhere in the region. The construction is outstanding and is a must see on anyone's agenda.

We then drive to Al Bustan street with it's gorgeous trees and continue to Muttrah, the unique part of old Muscat. Here we proceed on foot, walking around the Al Alam Palace with its fairytail towers in gold and blue; and pass by ancient Mirani and Jelali forts.

Our next point of interest is Bait Al Zubair, House of the Zubair Family. It displays an outstanding collection of the finest artefacts from all over Oman. Weapons, Omani dress, jewellery and household items mixed with modern and traditional art.

Muttrah Souk houses a wide selection of gold, silver, spices, pashminas, hubbly-bubbly pipes, old guns, fabrics and bric-a-brac. And it will be our last stop. The labyrinth of alleyways are many; most of the souk would remain undiscovered after hours of walking.

Approximately 200km from Muscat, Wahiba Sands run from the Hajar Mountains to the Arabian Sea. The Sands stretch 120km from north to south and 80km east to west. The dunes run north to south and can reach up to 150m in height varying in colour from terracota red to golden to white.
We drive from Muscat to Wahiba and take some adventurous dune driving, enjoy sand skiing and then visit to the Bedouin family. Today you have a great opportunity to have lunch together with the bedouin family in the middle of the world famous sands.
After lunch we then drive to Wadi Bani Khalid for a short walk, refreshing swimming in green pools and a cave exploring at the top of the wadi.

Today we are going to take a very exiting route leading us to one of the most beautiful places in Oman - Wadi Shab.
Wadi Shab - meaning gorge between the cliffs - is just that. It is only accessible on foot, the path winds its way up the wadi past caves, plantations, cliffs and deep pools with sceneray changing every step.
After about an hour's walk, swim under water for a couple of meters at the narrow crevice and you'll emerge into a secret cavern.
We are not going to miss the swimming in a clear water's deep pools today.
On the way back to Muscat we are going to stop at the Sink Hole, a natural depression or hole in the Earth's surface caused by karst processes — for example, the chemical dissolution of carbonate rocks or suffosion processes in sandstone.
