Crossing the threshold of the Vatican Museums, the richest Museums of the Western world, you feel the pleasure of discovering an incredible number of artworks and masterpieces but especially of admiring the Sistine Chapel, the Michelangelo's crowning achievement in painting.
We then enter in the St. Peter's Basilica, where the elegant sculptures that seem to writhe among mighty pillars and the decorations that elegantly delineate the huge dimensions of the Basilica make of St. Peter a whole "world" to be discovered, an open book on the history of the Christianity and therefore on the history of Europe, from its origins until present day. We conclude in St. Peter's Square.
