The Former Residence of Mao Zedong
This is the residence where the great hero Mao Zedong had lived on his ninth trip to Shanghai from February 1924 till the year end. It is the only Mao's residence open to the public in Shanghai, covering an area of 520 square meters. On the first floor is the key exhibition on Mao's working and living in Shanghai at that time. The show with the theme "Mao Zedong in Shanghai" on the second floor involves a number of used articles, models and scenes.

Oh, I think Mao is from Hunan province, his residence is in Shaoshan, Hunan, first time to know there's a Mao's residence in Shanghai~

Shanghai Mao Zedong's former residence is home to Shanghai when Mao Zedong in 1924. December 1977 was designated as the Shanghai cultural relics protection units. In 1999, the CPC Jing'an District, the district people's government carried out repairs on the old home, the former residence of December in the same year was formally opened gallery and exhibition "Mao Zedong in Shanghai," the historical pictures.
