DAY 2
QUITO SIGHTSEEING & EQUATOR MUSEUM
In the morning, we will visit the historical center of Quito, which includes viewpoints such as: the Itchimbia Park and the cable car located at 15,600 feet above the Pichincha Volcano.
We will enjoy a typical Ecuadorian lunch, and in the afternoon we will visit the Inti Nan Museum located in the Middle of the World, where you can see some experiments, and you can step on the actual Center of the Earth line. Near the end of the day, we will return to our hotel accommodations.
DAY 3
FLIGHT TO GUAYAQUIL & CITY TOUR
Early in the morning, we will fight to the largest city and the economical Capital of Ecuador. Once we arrive, it is time to walk around and enjoy the coastal atmosphere visiting beautiful sites like: El Centenary Park, 9 de Octubre Boulevard, the Iguanas Park, time to have lunch in one of the local restaurants in the Malecon and later a nice walk uphill Las Peñas Viewpoint. Finally drive to the hotel, located in the hard of the City.
DAY 4
CAJAS NATIONAL PARK & CUENCA
After Breakfast, we will drive 3 hours approx. to visit Cajas National Park, the highest lakes complex in the Ecuadorian Andes. Our hike will start at La Toreadora (woman bullfighter) control where you can also admire the flora and fauna endemic from the park along the trail. Later we will drive towards Cuenca city for overnight.
DAY 5
CUENCA FULL DAY & ORCHIDIS FARM
In the morning, we will visit Cuenca City (declared a Cultural Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO).
The most representative sites in Cuenca are: Calderon Park (Central Square), the Modern and Old Cathedrals, the Flower Market, and Largo Street with its colonial houses, all of which are unforgettable.
We will also visit the Tomebamba River and the Broken Bridge, since they are famous landmarks. Of course an attraction impossible to skip is the Ethnographic Museum (Museo de las Culturas Aborigenes). The Ethnographic Museum is a must-see because of its unique art collection from across the country. During this afternoon, we will visit a beautiful Orchid farm in Paute Valley.
DAY 6
FLIGHT TO QUITO & CUICOCHA LAKE
Early in the morning, we will flight back to Quito city and we will continue our trip to the lakes Province ( Imbabura), where we can see some of them like; San Pablo & Cuicocha Crater lake next to Cotacachi Volcano. Then we will stop in the leather twon for some shopping and finally we will go to the Hotel near by Otavalo city.
DAY 7
OTAVALO MARKET VISIT
In the morning, we will be visiting Otavalo Indian Market, where you will have enough time to see and buy the local crafts such as: blankets, sweaters, shirts, wall hangings made in lama and alpaca wool., you also have time to explore the fruit & vegetable market and walk through scenic town. Then we will drive back to Quito city for the last overnight before you flight home.
