Guijie (Ghost Street) Beijing

1. Guijie or Ghost Street is a 1442-meter long gourmet street, located within Dongzhimennei Dongcheng District, running from the east of Dongzhimen Bridge. The street is lined with over 100 restaurants and most of them offer 24-hour service. The business here is particularly booming at night, when the street sparkles with red lanterns lightening. Locals, expats, tourists and businessmen flock here each night. The restaurants here serve a great diversity of dishes, including Sichuan, Canton, handong dishes, as well as snacks, barbecue, and ethnic minority dishes. Most of the restautants are focused on the common market - ordinary people with reasonable prices. But now some deluxe restautants have mushroomed too. The 1500-meter street is divided into three sections from east to west by three traffic lights. Within two traffic lights from east to west, are located some newly established luxury restautants offering business meals. Starting the third traffic light from east are the courtyard-style restaurants. Many people like to come to the third section due to its traditional surrounding, delicious local flavors with reasonable prices. Huajiayiyuan is one of my favorites on the street. If any chance, i will defintely choose this restaurant to entertain my friends or business partners. Huajiayiyuan is a three-courtyard-connected restautrant which offers its own style cuisine - Huajia Cuisine. After dinner at Guijie, walk for two traffic lights westward, you will find Nanluoguxiang on your left hand. Choose a quite bar and kill your time, a perfect way for nightlife in Beijing!

Meet at your hotel around 6:00 pm

First destination is Guijie (Ghost Street), A popular dining street near the Lama Temple. Short walk along the streets, get to see the local eating scene, having dinner at an elegant courtyard restaurant. It used to be the residence of a Qing prince.

After or before the dinner, a tour of the restaurant compound  will be  a highlight.  Take a walk in the hutongs after dinner, and then head to the next spot Sanlitun.

The area Sanlitun is multicultural and very trendy. The place is great for street snap lovers to shot for fashion, art and celebrities.

We start the walk at Sanlitun South Village, a number of  interesting shops and restaurants will be introduced, you can check out the biggest Apple store in China. 

We will also discover few a famous hidden bars and hotels, such as " The Tree" and "The Opposite House".

The tour will be finish at Sanlitun North Village, around 10:00pm. You can choose to stay in the area, or I will help you to catch a taxi back to your hotel.

The Tour cost:
- 320 rmb for one people.
- 500 rmb for 2 people and more.
  ( Not including transportation, meal and drinks. we could take taxi or I could arrange a car or a van with driver. A meal in the courtyard restaurant costs about 120 rmb / person,  if you prefer other options of restaurants, please let me know, we could try "Hot pot", " Spicy Fish and Frogs.
