14 days Tehran to Tehran

Day 1

Arrival at Tehran, meet your private tour guide, transfer to Hotel, Overnight Tehran.

Depending on your arrival time and your preference, have choices of Northern Tehran sightseeing.

Enjoy diner by the Darband streams where you can see young Tehran citizens walk up and down the stream.

Day2: Old Tehran Walking Tour

Let’s walk together in Tehran most chaotic area! The central part of Tehran. We will go to visit a palace which have seen three dynasties and more than 7 kings lived there and 4 kings had crowning ceremonies in it, Golestan Palace.  After enjoying a cup of coffee in Golestan palace garden we can go to the enormous bazaar of Tehran and ramble through it, when we get enough of it, let’s enjoy a traditional Persian food or a Kebab.

After lunch we will go to National museum of Tehran and get the chance to know these thousands- year- old priceless pieces.

If it is days between Saturday and Tuesday we can substitute National Jewelry museum with any of the main attractions.

Day 3: Kashan

On the way to Kashan, we may stop in Qom to see the mullah’s city and give a visit to Masuma shrine, th second holy shrine in Iran.For visiting this shrine ladies are supposed to wear traditional way of hijab which will be provided by shrine officials.

Giving a visit to Fin Garden in Kashan then move to the center of the city and enjoy lunch in one of Kashan’s historical houses.

After lunch doing some sightseeing: Broujerdi & Tabatabii Houses the residence of merchants who brought the Persian carpet into fame more than a century ago.

Day 4: Deset and ities in the middle of Desert

If you are not claustrophobic we will walk in the corridors of underground shelter in Nushabad, Near  Kashan and after that we will head to Abu Zeid Abad  to enjoy desert and Dunes.

After visiting a two floor Qanat in Ardestan we will head to Nain.

Going to Nain a city in the middle of desert where we can  give a visit to one of the oldest touristic mosque in Iran and having a scenery of a ruined castle by the side of it. If it’s not a public holiday we can visit caved handmade textile workshops in Mohammadieh.

Overnight Ardakan or Aqda

Day 5 :

In the morning Drive to Chak Chak a Zaroastrian fire temple in the mountains.

Then on the way to Yazd visit Maybod and its attractions Dovecots were old form of land fertilizer factory which are extinct now. Though you can see one of the renovated ones in Meybod and if we are lucky and the pottery workshop is open we will make vase of our own!

After Checking in to the hotel and a short rest going to Mirhakhmagh and a two floor water reservoir where Iranian traditional body building takes place in it.

Day 6 :

Yazd is the city of Zoroastrian’s: visiting Ostudans(grave), Temple, and if you like a new museum about their lifestyle.

We will walk through narrow turning allies and visit the magnificent entrance of Jame mosque with its tall minarets and amazing ceramic work.

Dowlat Abad Garden is a Persian garden which was built centuries ago.

In the evening we will enjoy tea in one of roof café in old part of town to enjoy sunset.

Early night to be ready for the next day long drive.

Day 7 :Pasargad

To day we have one of the longest drive on our way to Pasargad.

On the way we will stop in Abarkuh by the 4000 years old cypress tree and enjoy a good cofee  there. Then drive the rest of the way to Pasargad, near Pasargad there is a restaurant which serves Pasargad’s local food which is specializedto that area and cooked by local housewives.

After this enjoyable lunch,  Let’s go to a place where Persians are the most proud of, Cyrus the great tomb!

Over night Aghamir eolodge in Sa’adatshahr.

Day 8: Persepolis, necropolis

( probably you have read all about this main site ) so I keep calm and let you enjoy it with a dedicated guide of Persepolis!

In the evening meet warm Iranians in Hafez tomb reciting his poems.

Overnight Shiraz

 Day 9:

Early in the morning visit the marvelous glass and light work in Nasirolmolk mosque.

Explore the beauties of Zand architecture: Vakil mosque, Vakil Hammam  and

AttractiveMoshir Serai In  bazaar with tantalizing handy crafts and artwork.

Day 10 drive to Isfahan

You’ll enjoy the 33Bridge and Khajoo Bridge after checking in to your hotel in Isfahan.

Day 11 :Isfahan

Marvel at the amazing royal square (Meydan-e- Naghshe Jahan).

Imam mosque perplexing features besides the impressive tile work at Sheikh Lotfollah mosque will give you the impression of how perfect were Persian tiles art, then it’s the time for plaster art in music room at Aliqapoo palace to amaze you after enjoying lunch we can enjoy the beauty of  Chehel sotune (40 columns).

Day 12: Isfahan

Going to the Armenian neighborhood, visiting  Vank church which has the characteristic of Zoroastrian Muslim and Christianity all to together after that we and enjoy live traditional Persian music at music.

If you were in the mood of short hike we may go to Ruins of Zoroastrians fire temple to have a panoramic view of Isfahan.

Did you know there were shaking minaret in Isfahan which literally shakes with 5 Richter if you shake the other brick minaret with pushing and pulling by hands?!

Day 13: Abyane

Visit this exotic village which was so remote that they could keep Their language safe after Muslim Invasion and still talk in old Persian language named Pahlavi.

Day 2 Tehran Day Tour, latter flight to Ahwaz: Visit National Museum and archaeological Collections, after visit Golestan Palace including several historical palace and building, visit Tehran Bazaar and Imam (Royal) Mosque. transfer to airport for a flight to ahwaz, Overnight Ahwaz

Day 3 Excursion to Ziggurat of the Chiqa Zanbil, Susa & Shushtar: Full day excursion to Ziggurat of the Choqa Zanbil dates back to the Elamite time on 1250 B.C, after we visit haft tappeh to visit elamite necropolis along with Susa to visit the remains of Achaemenian Palaces also we visit tomb of Daniel the prophet, afterwards we move to Shushtar to visit the Sushtar Historic waterfall which is now registered as a Unesco heritage site, drives back to ahwaz, Overnight Ahwaz

Day 4 Drives to Shiraz: early in the morning and after breakfast, we drives to Shiraz, en-route we stop to visit Bishapur where you can visit the remains of Ancient Sassanid city built by Shapur 1st, after there are some Sassanid bas-reliefs at the place called Tang-e Chigan which is in details of Shapur's Victories over the roman empire, latter arrives to Shiraz, Overnight in Shiraz

Day 5 Shiraz Day Tour: Visit Lovely Shiraz, a city known as the city of rose, nightingales and poetries, visit Karim Khan Citadel, Vakil complex including Mosque and the Bazaar, after visit nasir al molk mosque after visit tomb of hafez and sa'adi, Overnight Shiraz

Day 6 Excursion to visit Persepolis, Naghsh-e rostam and Pasargadae:Early n the morning, we drive toward the Bride of the desert, Yazd, we should stop several times to visit Persepolis, The first Persian capital empire and where Darius the great came to celebrate the Persian New Year, after we visit nearby Naghsh-e rostam, the sites holds the Achaemenian Necropolis plus some rock reliefs showing the event's happened in Sassanid times, after we visit Pasargadae in Morghab Plain, Pasargadae is a place that Cyrus the great entombed, again, we stop in Abarkooh to visit a 4.000 year old Cypress Tree, Arrives in Yazd in the evening, Overnight Yazd

Day 7 Day tour in Yazd: Explore the fascinations old quarters of Yazd, we visit Zoroastrian fire temple with it's eternal fire since 1430 year's ago, Visit Mir Chakhmaq Complex, Wind towers, Yazd water museum, Hazire mosque, after visit impressive friday mosque, mausoleum of rokn-od din alexander prison and tomb of the 12 Imam's, Overnight Yazd

Day 8 Drives to Isfahan: ay tour in Yazd: This morning we drives to Isfahan for 330 K.M, en-route we stop to visit Na'een, also Naiin, this is a charming desert town dotted with some historical monuments, we visit friday mosque dates back to the 10th century, after we stop again to visit some old caravanserai along the ancient Silk-road, arrives to Isfahan, Overnight Isfahan

Day 9 Day tour in beautiful Isfahan: Full day tour in Isfahan referred as Nesf-e Jahan ( Half of the world), we visit Chehel sotoun Palace, after visit Imam, or Naghsh-e Jahan Sq, this is a historical Square surrounded by 4 monuments dating back to 16 and 17th century, first we visit A'li qapu palace in the western side of the Square, after visit Jame Abassi or Imam Mosque on the southern side, we continue to visit impressive Sheikh lotfollah mosque on the eastern side and finally we visit Qeysariye Bazaar as Isfahan Old Bazaar area which is CLOSED ON FRIDAYS, afternoon we visit 2 beautufl and historic bridges erected over the Zayande river, the bridges are Si-o-se pol( the thirty three bridges) and the Khajoo bridges, Overnight Isfahan

Day 10 Isfahan guided tour: today we visit Magnificent Friday mosque, this mosque is an encyclopedia of history, the mosque dates back to the different times of the history, we visit famous Uljaitu Niche from the Ilkhanid period, ater we visit Armenian quarters to visit Wank Cathedral plus a museum, after visit Shaking minarets. Overnight Isfahan

Day 11 Drives back to Tehran: after breakfast, we drive to Tehran, en-route we stop at Natanz to visit a beautuf friday mosque plus monastery and tomb of the Shikh abdol samad, after we stop again in Kashan to visit Tappeh Sialk, the Sialk Ziggurat dating back to the 3000 B.C Fin Garden, a sample of Persian Historical Gardens, after visit Aghabozorg mosque and Boroujerdiha, a historical and famous Old houses in Kashan, Arrives in Tehran in the evening, check in, Overnight Tehran

Day 12 End of the Iran Ziggurat Tours: Today is the end of the tours, transfer to the IKA airport 3 hours before your departure flight, Salam and bon-voyage

In Shiraz, we’ll walk through the Zandieh Complex, which includes the Citadel the Pars museum, the bazaar and the Mosque.After that we’ll wander around the Shiraz gardens (Eram or Jahan Nama), the tomb of two of the most famous Iranian poets – Hafez and Saadi – Ali’ebn-e Hamzeh (Holy Shrine) and the Quran Gate.In the evening we’ll take the short journey to Qalaat, spending the night in a hotel nearby.

we heat to the Persepolis and After the visit to the ruins of Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rostam (Necropolis), we’ll drive towards Yazd, stopping by to see Pasargad (Tomb and Palaces of Cyrus the Great) and a 4000 years old cypress in Abarqu and drive to Yazd.

Once in Yazd we’ll take a tour visiting the Tower of Silence, Atashkadeh (Zoroastrian’s fire temple), the Water Museum and Amir Chakhmagh Square. The afternoon will be dedicated to the Yazd’s traditional urban area and its main attractions including the Jaam’e Mosque, Alexander Prison, Bogh’e Davazdah Imam, Zour Khaneh (Iranian’s traditional gymnasium).

Today we’ll take an excursion to the outskirts of Yazd, visiting Meybod, Chak Chak (Famous Zoroastrian’s Pantheon), Safavid Caravanserai, historical Yakhchal and Kharanaq.We’ll spend the night camping in the desert.*

From the desert we’ll make the 250km drive to Isfahan, visiting on the way Naein and Narin Historical Castle. We will arrive in Isfahan at around noon. In the afternoon we’ll walk by the river visiting the historical bridges.

In the morning we are going to see Naqsh-e Jahan square, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Imam mosque and Ali Qapu Palace, while after lunch we’ll explore the Chehel Sotoun Palace, the Persian Bazaar and be introduced to Iranian handicrafts and workshops.

On our last day we will visit Jaam’e Mosque, Vank Cathedral and Maria Church, also visiting  Colonel Bekhradi’s historical house before flying to Tehran in the evening.
