Xu Jin Like 0

Hi, I hired Ms. Xu Jin as an interrupter and tour guide for 5 days. Her written and spoken English is excellent and very easy to understand. She is very knowledgeable not only in the local markets where,  she found exactly what I was looking for my family and co-workers back home in the USA; she also found some very interesting restaurants who served a full range of different cuisines with excellent wines. Although, Ms. Xu does not drink alcoholic beverages I enjoyed myself.
Her business skills are exceptional; although she had no idea of my product line when we first met- my fault – she was able to translate my thoughts and products to my potential customer without ant miss understanding from either side. She asked me for key words and at night after she left me at my hotel she translated them into Chinese and used these phrases the next day at our meetings. I wish I had met her before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hired xu Jin as a couple for around four days. She was fluent in English and we had no issues understanding her.

She has excellent organisational skills and was pro-active about wanting to know where we were interested in going. She supplied a very full itinerary prior to meeting (based on our schedule) and was able to adapt to our changing needs on the go.

We had never hired a guide prior to xu Jin, so I think next time we would be much more lenient with our time and scheduling, as we found we were trying to fit too much in.

When you are hiring a guide it's best to have a good idea of what you need from them. xu Jin was a great resource to have in terms of translation and made the trip to Shanghai more fluid.

I just got back from a working vacation to Shanghai with my 2 and a half year old daughter.  As a beginning travel writer I had been planning the trip for about a month with Xu Jin, and while I had a list of places I wanted to go to, she really helped me streamline the itinerary and helped me find some places I didn't know about, like the cricket market.  Without her help, I'd have covered the same sites and attractions every other writer who visits Shanghai talks about.

As for my daughter, while I was trying to take photo's and write down information, Xu Jin would hold her, point out different sites, and generally let me keep my hands free for the few minutes I needed to get the necessary information. When we left Xu Jin at the train station on the second day, my daughter was almost in tears at the thought of leaving her Ayi.

I highly recommend Xu Jin, especially if you aren't sure where you want to go, and you have a children. She is amazing.

Sorry Jin for writing this review so late. I have engaged Jjn for a trip from Shanghai to Nanjing. I was very much in a hurry, I arrived in Pudong in the late afternoon and had my first appointment next morning. So I chose Jin and she replied immediately and made a suggestion for the trip. When I arrived in Pudong she already had bought the train tickets. Jin speaks very good English, unusual, my experience is that most people write much better then they speak. However the trip went over very quickly, because Jin likes to talk and it was very interesting to learn more from culture to private issues. I met her again a week later for finding and visting some companies I wanted to find in Shanghai. She made a research for me on the Internet and guided me to the companies. I can recommend Jin 100%. Thank you Jin. Next time I will engage you again.

Jin acted as my guide and translator while I was in Shanghai March 9 and 10th 2013.  Her command of the English language is excellent and she is a very friendly and helpful.  I was so happy with her abilities that I hired her a second day to help me navigate the market at the Science and Technology Museum.  I know her negotiating skills saved me money at the market.  My rating is 5 stars.
