Very impolite and unprofessional. we were discussing the services she offers and details of my trip. She even asked where I'm from and said good things about my country. She,then, discussed the advance payment policy for her services. I mentioned that since i do not have a paypal account and I am not comfortable paying upfront since there have been an instance when a friend of mine was scammed by a car rental service in Hong Kong, i asked if she allows half payment upon pick up at hotel and the rest at the end of the trip. She said it's not possible since she needs the payment upfront to manage the driver she will assign to us. She said that if e can't pay upfront then she can't work/service us. I, then, respectfully said that i understand her policy but i am not comfortable with upfront payment. I politely told her that it is in no way meant to be offensive to her but that we are just being careful. I thanked her for her time and told her that i might be able to refer her to a find who's coming to HK and is amenable to that payment scheme. I even said may God bless her. And then she started saying nasty things about people in my country (when she was just passing my country earlier!). I mean i think the rudeness is uncalled for. I did not, in any way, pushed or forced my payment preferences. I asked only one and when she said no, i told her that it's ok and that i respect their business policy. She was the one who kept on pushing for me to agree to it and I have been very respectful in my responses. I am now thinking maybe the rudeness of business owners and locals in HK may be true? I have not set foot in Hong Kong yet and this is how i am treated? I hope she is just a one off and i hope this does not run the high respect i have for HK Read less
