We are a family with two teenage children and toured China in August 2011. For Beijing and a day trip to the Great Wall we hired Skyegao and can highly recommend her service. Before our arrival we exchanged some emails and she came up with some excellent ideas and suggestions. Skyegao responded very quickly to all our questions and concerns.

On arrival in Beijing her driver came to the airport for pick-up. The transfer to the hotel in a clean and comfortable car was much cheaper than in a hotel car. Skye came to the hotel in time to pick us up and was very pleasant  and friendly. Her knowledge about China and Beijing is wide and she explains everything very well. She got along with our teenagers very well and engaged them in all sorts of interesting things and discussions. 

On our first day with her we visited various sights and places in Beijing. On the second day we drove to the Great Wall which was a marvelous experience. She knew a stretch of the wall which is usually not open to the public and therefore hardly any tourists were there. What a great time we had!

We can highly recommend Skye's service for Beijing and the surrounding area and are very happy to have chosen her for our holiday.

My trip was in May 2011. It was my first time in China and in Beijing traveling alone and not knowing a word of Chinese. I stayed a week and I hired Skye for several days. It was the best decision I could have made. Skye saved me from spending half my trip getting lost fumbling around Beijing so that I could spend my time on the important things.

Skye was prompt and always arrived ahead schedule, many times sitting patiently in the lobby waiting for me as I was running a late. She never complained and stuck with me even if we went later than her normal work schedule. She was very flexible and her primary goal was to make sure my trip went as smooth as possible.

Skye is available for other things too not just tours. She took me shopping, we hung out at the famous 798 Art district, we went to local farmers market to buy delicious fruits. I had to meet my sister in law's mother one day to bring some things to her and Skye happily came along with me to act as my translator. We went to The Great Wall, and a few Temples as well as other sites in Beijing. She arranged an Acrobat show for me one night and then hung around until the end of the show to make sure I got back to my hotel by ok. I was definitely in good hands. Skye's English is superb and she had great knowledge of all the sites we went to, often quoting historical dates and facts about each one. I can tell she really does her homework.

The best part about Skye is she is a very happy person to be around. She's very energetic, enthusiastic, outgoing, and a fun person which made my trip much more fun and pleasant. For example, she's probably seen the Great Wall 20-30 times already but I sensed she was genuinely enthusiastic and happy to see it again as if it was the first time. I'm going to use Skye again on my next visit and would recommend her to all my friends. Thanks Skye!!

I had a one-day personally-guided tour with Skye recently. It was a very long day (almost 12 hours) and we saw more than what a tourist usually sees in one day, including a visit to the Great Wall. Skye is very knowledgeable and responsible.  In every place we visited she provided a lot of interesting information and it was pleasant spending the day with her. Skye also wanted to make sure I was safe back in my hotel, so she joined me in the taxi all the way to the front door of my hotel, which was not the direction she needed to take to go back to her home. Skye communicates perfectly in English, both by email in and in person, so it is easy to coordinate the tour with her ahead of time. I highly recommend Skye as a tour guide for one person or a small group of people.

Skye was our tour guide on a day tour of the Drum Tour and Hutongs of Beijing.  She was the best tour guide that we had in Beijing and one of the best anywhere in the world.  Skye made the effort to take us to places of interest that were not on the tour schedule.  She is knowledgeable and informative.  When next we are able to get to Beijing Skye will be our first choice as a tour guide.  She would have our complete confidence.  Ed Young
