Born and brought up in Dhading District adjacent to the Kathmandu Valley, Mr. Sailesh Pokharel is the founder of Nepal Trekking Routes. He is an MA in Political Science from Central Campus of Tribhuvan University. Since his childhood, he was used to meeting tourists doing Manaslu Circuit Trek, Ruby Valley Trek, and Ganesh Himal Trek across his hometown. As a child, he craved for pursuing his career in tourism sector because many of his neighbors had been working in this field.

After his SLC, he migrated to the Kathmandu Valley to continue his higher studies. Then, he carried his studies and his career in tourism side by side because working in tourism was his childhood dream. He started working as a porter; however, his honesty, hard working nature, sincerity, and courtesy, he was promoted as a trekking guide and then team leader. He has been to most of the popular trekking regions in the Nepalese Himalayas.

Having been involved in the Nepalese tourism industry for about a decade, Mr. Sailesh decided to run his own agency. What inspired him to open a local tour operator on his own is his passion to contribute in nation building process through tourism. Therefore, in 2013, he registered Nepal Trekking Routes (NTR) in all the government authorities of Nepal.

Since the inception, NTR has been helping thousands of national and international travelers doing tours and treks in Nepal. The customer satisfaction rate is almost cent per cent because NTR believes more in services than in profit and business extension. The customer safety is the first and foremost concern of the agency.

Mr. Sailesh has been leading the team in an effective way that the clients who book their tours and treks with NTR are highly satisfied. The staff members of the agency are well-known about the rules and regulations, rights and duties. They are dedicated to assist the clients by giving their 100% effort not only in guidance but also in critical situations if any. It is all due to the leadership of Mr. Pokharel that his team is guided by ethics and humanity.
