Paul’s Shop specializes in hard-to-find imported food products from around the world. Westerners who have spent weeks, months, or even years in China naturally develop a bit of homesickness. Sometimes that homesickness can be transformed into an immense craving for a bag of Doritos or a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Those affected by such a problem should look to Paul’s for the cure. Paul’s even offers delivery for those who are too busy or too lazy to go to one of their three locations. However, the convenience of Paul’s comes at a price - Paul’s is probably the most expensive market in town. While many of Paul’s products are impossible to find elsewhere in Kunming, there are still quite a few that can be found at Carrefour, Wal-Mart, or Metro at lower prices.

Take bus no 96 east on Yi Er Yi Da Jie, which will become Beijing Lu Extension. When you pass the Ford dealership on your right, get off at the next stop. Metro is located behind the KTV on your right hand side. A taxi to and from the city center should cost about 10-15 RMB. It usually makes sense to take a taxi home.

How to Get There: Dong Feng Xi Lu is the road not too far from Yunnan University that eventually becomes the tunnel under the city center that everybody drives very slow through. Jianshi Lu becomes Dong Feng Xi Lu at Wenlin Jie. If you are on Wenlin Jie, walk west until you hit the cinema, turn left, and go down the road to the end of the block. That is where the mobile phone area begins - you can’t miss it.
