The most popular place in Lijiang at night is the old town, and in the old town you will find Bar Street, running from the waterwheel to the old town square. Any night you visit, you can't miss it (you will hear the noise).
Along Bar Street are bars with dance shows, singing, KTV, dance floors and each has a collection of young women (and sometimes men) in ethnic costume, trying to entice punters into their establishments.
Be warned, prices for drinks are high.
A quieter option is to head to a music bar in the back streets of the old town. Or to a cafe.
