Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street, This is the main shopping thoroughfare, a pedestrian street where most stores are open from 9AM-10PM. It has absolutely everything; cheap clothes, good food and even a little history. There is a display of the original road from the song dynasty (960 – 1279 A.D).

In the center of the street you will see two underground archeological sites showing that this road has existed here for nearly a thousand years. Coke must have struck a good deal with Guangzhou’s municipal authorities because the pair of underground sites are sponsored by the American soda icon. Just in case you overlook that fact on the accompanying bronze plaque, then you can’t miss the Coca Cola logo that appears on almost every other glass panel which peers below into a pit with remnants of the Song and Ming dynasty roads on display. Permanently stationed between the two historical sites is the convenient Coca Cola Trolley, peddling the traditional glass bottles of what Chinese people not too long ago believed was a strange elixir that tasted like some awful western medicine.

The Xinhua bookstore is a good place to buy a tourist atlas of China. This is really the only shop around here that I would recommend. You won’t find any bargains if you’re looking for cheap clothing or those popular fake brand name designer goods.

There is a wide range of stores available, from a large modern-style department store to stores selling the latest fashions for young people, to the ultra-cheap shacks hawking t-shirts, jewelry and knick-knacks…

When you walk down beijing lu you will see little alleys on the left and right. In there are many little shops where you can bargain. Designer clothes, bags, all the girls stuff and a bit of guy’s clothes. There is tons of guys selling fake watches there as well and they will follow you down the road for a bit trying to get you to look at their stuff.

You will get exhausted when you see all the things are real cheap, but 1 thing, you get what you paid for. The things are not so good quality if it is real cheap. But as for a lady we will still buy if when we see things are cheap , it doesn’t matter at least we will use it for a few times it you dont like it anymore you can give it to someone else , after all the things that you bought are cheap .

If you are staying in GuangZHou hotel or Landmark Hotel, it is a walking distance, just about 10 minutes walking from the hotel to the beijing lu Pedestrian Street.

Tianzi Docks: by bus No.1, 4, 57, 61, 183, 194, 208, 219, 281, 544 or Take Metro Line 2, get off at Haizhu Square Metro Station, Exit A, turn left(eastward ), then walk across road then walk along the bank of the river- it is about 5 minutes walking. (The Tianzhi Dock is at the end of the Beijing Road. At the Beijing Road you can do some shopping after the Pearl River Cruise).

2. Xidi Dock: by bus No.31, 38, 181, 186, 202, 217, 219, 227, 251, 236, 239, 288, 281, 527, 538, 541, 556 or 823.

3. Dashatou Dock: by bus No.7, 12, 36, 44, 57, 61, 80, 89, 128, 131, 182, 184, 92, 194, 208, 287, 543, 546 .

Many people are curious to know how is the night life in guangzhou.
Well we can not say it is same as western countries but as we can tell Guangzhou nightlife is very active and beautiful,especially in big cities

If you go out in the night(no matter how late),you will see people outside enjoy life.They can gather with friends in the bar, club,night restaurant or KTV singing till very late in the night.

Few years ago while I was staying in Shanghai,I had my college from Belgium who invited us to go dinner and bar,later go to the club.

It was my first time going to those places so i was quite excited.We finished dinner first and then she took us to the bar to enjoy drinking.I do enjoy the atmosphere as it is good place to gather friends with thenice music playing.Later around 10pm,she took us to one club and she told us the club only open by that time.When we went there we found there were so many people and it got more crowded with time going.On the plateform there were a team playing high music and dancing cracily as well.So the people also got excited to dance as well no matter man or woman.Both me and another chinese college are very shocked and we standed like numb in the middle of people, there are many people dancing around us and some was very crazy.We did not get used to this situation before so we took earlier leave than my Belgium college expected. When we went out from that clun around 1am,we still saw so many people outside and it was like daytime.So I realized the night life is amazing in big cities like shanghai,guangzhou

The other one is HEI HEI （喜喜）, located in Haizhu guangchang ( 海珠广场） (haizhu square) great RnB club! Haizhu square station exit D ( subway station) The crowd is amazing, i must say one of my favourite, mix equally between foreigners and locals. Good musics.

There is another club called Nova located in zhu jiang xin cheng (zhu jiang new town) 广州市津滨腾大夏首层珠江新城华夏路49号 This place is on and off, sometimes good and sometimes bad.

SUNS Club: A hip Club with mix of songs and crowd as well, Located inside an old beer factory and facing the river this might be your place to rock address: 海珠区，阅江西路，磨碟沙隧道口，珠江啤酒厂琶醍艺术创意B区 25,26 ( get a cab)

and Also there is this amazing new Club called The Wave, 海珠区，阅江西路，磨碟沙隧道口，珠江啤酒厂琶醍艺术创意B区 located in the same place as SUNS club, just walk around 500metres from SUNS club, and you can see The Wave. Super nice, great music.

An evening cruise on the Pearl River is one of the tourist highlights in Guangzhou. The Pearl River is China's third longest river. By the time it reaches Guangzhou, it is highly polluted. But there are lights along the river, and lit-up buildings of the Guangzhou skyline near the river make the place colorful. Some very tall buildings with interesting designs have been going up in Guangzhou recently.

Perhaps the best restaurant is a restaurant boat called the Information Times. It has buffet dining and exotic music and dance entertainment. It seats about 300 people. The Tianzi No.1 holds 250 people. The Bright Pearl of Flower City is a luxurious ship. It has a banquet hall and also holds about 250 guests.

There are three piers in Guangzhou: Dashatou Pier (大沙头码头), Tianzi Pier (天字码头), and Xiti Pier (西堤码头). If you are staying in a starred hotel, check on cruise information and getting tickets. The ships cruise between White Goose Pool and Guangzhou Bridge. The scenery along this part is fascinating with jade-colored water and colored lights on shore.

True Colors (本色), 276 Yanjiang Zhong Lu ((200m east of the Tianzi Matou), Yuexiu District (8373 5858)). Club has dozens of tables on the floor for groups to drink and play local dice games. The DJ booth overlooks the floor and between it and the massive windows runs a strip that can rise up for live performances and for models to runway walk. There's a dance floor that's maybe 25 square meters where locals and expats dance. DJs come from all over the world and play their own mix of house occasionally punctuated with hip-hop.

it's a good way to release your pressure in a exotic city.everytime when i feel unhappy or depressed i would go there and go for a walk.
