After a long night out or a lazy morning at work, there is nothing more refreshing then a a fresh cup of coffee. Even though the Citta Espresso Club in China was only established 3 years ago, they have a strong following world-wide due to their strong cosmopolitan identity. China will soon embrace their rich coffee products.

Their success thrives on their ability to provide the highest standard premium coffee, food, beverages and service. Coffee beans used by Citta are from the Sangdali Trade company in Trieste Italy. These quality beans are used to produce their premium coffee. Sangdali has had over four generations of operational experience in the Italian coffee market and have been offering the best espresso.

They produce over 1 million kilograms of roasted coffee every six months and it is then sold to Italy’s food bars, shops and restaurants. The Sangdali Company’s coffee beans guarantee the unique taste of the Città Espresso Club espresso, and the rich, slightly chocolate flavor is creative and unique. Citta’s Food is also unique on it’s own.

They are famous for their sandwiches and salad due to it’s special nutritional formula called “Five colors per day”. The “Five Colors” consists of vegetables and fruits of the colors Red, Yellow, White, Green and blue/purple. Their sandwich creations provide us with the necessary nutrition and vitamins which we may miss out on a daily basis. They have made it more convenient for us to focus on other things without having to worry about eating right.

Citta is currently having a breakfast promotion everyday which ends at 10:30am (holidays not included). Buy a breakfast set and your coffee will be discounted at half price. Add an extra 8 RMB and 18 RMB and you will get a salad and juice respectively. If you just decide to have a coffee/tea, an additional 3 RMB will get you a Croissant or a small sandwich. All breakfast sets come with a special discount. Citta had been nomenited by Cityweekend to the Best Wifi Café.

Hooters American Restaurant a famous brand at States, and many people know about this restaurant was because its sexy waitress, who are all wearing mini-shots and really tight T-shirts, even i am a girl i still wondering what it will be looked like.
So here i am at Hooters.  It`s a Sunday morning around 11 am, i am planning to have a brunch, i ordered  Cheese Sticks as appetizer, a Chicken salad and a sandwich,  a cocktail is always my favor.
When the food is ready it looks really nice, but the size is not what i expected, not match the price, well it`s just in my personal idea.  Suddenly the music up, all the waitresses start to dance, they are cute and dance good,  but you can tell from some girls they are not that happy with working here and dancing in front of customers, the girl dancing near us was good, like a cheer leader smiling all the time.  It`s really fun and i think it will be more fun at night and when i get drunk.  Just kidding.
The service is not to bad, 10% service fee is needed.  And this brunch cost me 270RMB (40bucks).

This darling café feels so European to me that I hide away here when I need a break from China. The renovated lane house always feels particularly warm and cosy with dark wood paneling and rich striped wallpaper. The back of the restaurant is a historic atrium, which allows for plentiful natural light in an otherwise windowless space. The menu is small but appealing, with traditional Austrian dishes like Kaesespaetzle for 60 RMB (FYI: this dish is kind of like a grown-up macaroni and cheese, I’d call it the most amazing comfort food I’ve had in years). The breakfast menu is equally small, but offers eggs in every style conceivable, fruit and cereal. The indulgent dessert menu is includes temptations such as banana cake, cheesecake, and Sacher Cake (a famous Viennese chocolate cake). To make matters worse for you dieters out there, Vienna Cafe lures you in by baking cakes during the day, so it smells wonderful inside. The Viennese coffee, at 30RMB for a latte, is prepared by a gorgeous Gaggia espresso machine.

How to get there: Shaoxing Lu is close to the busy Huaihai Lu, but it still feels miles away. It’s on one of the quietest streets I’ve seen in the middle of the French Concession. Take Metro Line 1 to Shanxi Lu station. Exit onto Shanxi Lu, and head south for 4 blocks. Take a left on Shaoxing, Vienna Café is half way down the block on the right. (Edited by Xiaoqing)

This Indian restaurant is always busy, always a great sign and the reason we originally went to Indian Kitchen. Located just a few blocks away from my house, this spot regularly satisfies my Indian food cravings. The food is cheaper than nearby Vedas, and while I have heard complaints that Indian Kitchen is perhaps not as authentic as Vedas, I still find it pretty darn good.

Be sure to order:

Palak Paneer (spinach and Indian cheese)

Potato and Peas Masala

Butter Chicken

Mutton Madras (which is not on the menu anymore, but if you like spice, ask for this)

All dishes are around 40RMB.

Be sure to make reservations, especially on weekends!

How to get there: Take Subway line 1 to the Hengshan Road stop. Exit onto YongJia Lu and head east or left out of the subway. Walk one and a half blocks, and the restaurant is on the left side.

The atmosphere in Xinwang is all that can be hoped for in a bustling Cantonese restaurant.  Staff race back and forth with steaming dishes in hand, customers speak almost loud enough to be considered as yelling and babies sitting in high-chairs occasionally add to the noise.

For a group of 4 expect to pay between 100 and 150 yuan.  Menus are in Chinese, but have many photos.  The eating area and bathrooms are kept quite clean.

Pineapple Butter Buns – This has to be fattening, but it’s so good.

Duck – Cantonese style duck with dipping sauce

Wonton Soup – Highly recommended.
