Song Fang Maison de Thé is an enchanting tea salon tucked away in a converted French Concession lane house of Shanghai. Song Fang is a truly stylish retreat - bright, airy, with light jazz on the background. Perfect!
The tea menu is extensive and difficult to choose from, so get recommendations from the staff if you don’t know which one to pick. French tea comes in Song Fang’s signature porcelain teapot sets (pictured below), while Chinese tea comes in clay teapots. My favorite is Polynesie, a fruity blend of green tea with mango, banana, and pineapple, but I also love China Blue, a rich and creamy blend of white tea with coconut, blackberry, and orange. Song Fang is perfectly charming. Come and stay the whole afternoon - preferably on weekdays to avoid the crowd - you will not want to leave after a sip of their gloriously soothing tea.

The food is delicious here (traditional Chongqing) - you'll want to get an order of the rice dish pictured below for each person at the table (of course share the many delightful flavors) because if you only get one - they are too small and a fight will break out. Beware the ma-spice, I love it but some people can get really turned off by the amount that this restaurant puts in the dishes. A great place for 4 or more people to get together, drink some beer and sweat a bit while eating. Although ambiance is fairly nonexistent, 131 is a good choice for a budget local meal with a casual Chinese clientele.

Zao Zi Shu or Jujube Tree - especially the one at Fengxian Lu - has been my favorite vegetarian restaurant for years. It is an exceptional place to bring friends who are unfamiliar with Chinese vegetarian food. The menu is quite diverse and includes many mock meat dishes with different flavors; the dumplings are excellent and they have additional tea and juice drinks. My favorite is a hot ginger tea that is perfectly sweet and spicy. They also have a lunch deal where you can pay upfront a certain amount and can get a meal card good for set lunches for several months. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fuchun Xiaolong Restaurant makes you indulged in its dishes and dumplings, especially the steamed bun (xiaolong), which is juicy, savoury and tender. Dishes are served on the second floor and dumpling eaters are seated on the first floor. Usually you need to wait for a while in the meal times before having a table. Fuchun Xiaolong has several branches in the city, whereas the main one, on 650Yuyuan Road by Zhenning Road, remains the most popular.
 

The Table No.1 is a newly Eropean style and top-class restaurant which located in the Cool Docks, the south of the Bund. I like the exqusite dishes, desserts as well as the wines, but i more prefer the design of the restaurant,it looks like an old house. Especailly, the roof-top bar which has the best view of Pudong at night!

Fengyu Restaurant is of a time-honored chain dining brand in Shanghai. There are many Fengyu Restaurants scattered all over the city. It’s renowned for serving a good variety of local snacks and dishes. Among these, the most popular foods are Shengjian (pan-fried steamed buns), Fengsitang (tofu puff with vermicelli soup), Guotie (pot stickers), Xiaolong (steamed buns) and Gaijiaofan (rice with assorted meat and veggies on top). Oftentimes there are lines of people waiting to place an order, especially in the breakfast time.

Compare with the Simply Thai in Xintiandi,This restaurants is pretty new,but the food pretty authentic ! We went there On Friday evening. It's full with customes so we wait for a while ,theThai waitress is very nice and polite and speak good english!

Especially,there is a buddha statue situated in the middle of the restaurant.it give you good impression before you order the food.After we sit down, we ordered some snacks, Green Curry, Tom yam gong, Pineapple Fried Rice ect. All the food is delicious so the price is goes up to!
