Hualien old wine factory has been turned into Cultural Park, boasting craft shops and handmade artifact market, along with restaurants and cafes, this place is must see in Hualien.

Hualien cultural and creative industries park is located in the center of Hualien city. The historic settlements build in 100 years ago have 3.3 hectares, including 26 old factory warehouses. It will be opened in three years (2012-2015) successively and apply exhibition, performance, dining, featured products, educational lecture, travel information, etc. Expected shape a cultural and creative vitality and contemporary life-style by artistic activities and commercial services. a-zone also is the best tourist region in East.

As the largest creative market in Hualien and the east coast, various markets are set up around the grounds from Wednesday to Sunday for visitors to enjoy, and events are regularly held in the area.

The buildings along the western side of the property previously were warehouses and are now retail spaces for interesting goods such as rare Japanese-style cypress.

The buildings in the centre contain a Live House (previously a packing factory) for live band, concert, and art performances and the Wine Museum (previously a fermentation factory) where visitors can browse creative and historical wine-related goods.

The buildings along the eastern side are primarily exhibition zones.

The grounds contain a Japanese dormitory buildings constructed between 1928 and 1933 for employees of the factories. There are 13 independent cabins built in a traditional Japanese style.

At the front entrance near the circular intersection of Zhongzheng and Zhonghua Roads is a western restaurant with a unique architectural style consisting of a European theme on the ground level and Japanese traditional design and style on the 2ND floor. This building is the oldest in the complex. This is a wonderful place in Hualien city. It was built one hundred years ago, which is a brewery before. It has a big accommodation for guests to visit. In the big accommodation has many historic things , all of them have unique meaning. Outside the accommodation has many big squares. In the center of square has a big stage for someone who want to emerge themselves. I went to this amazing place with my friends , classmates and families on October. We took many pictures and had a good time there.I hope the place can always preserve for everyone from generation to generation. Not only the accommodation and the stage, there are also many famous views are waitings for you to visit in Hualien. Perfect place for parents to take kids there for a leisure walk. On the weekends, there will be street performances, too or a gallery. Local people's favorite cultural spot.
