Dong Liang Studio

Dong Liang Studio was our only reason for visiting Wudaoying Hutong (bar getting our nails primed at Zigzag or munching on Scotch eggs at The Vine Leaf). So we felt decidedly underwhelmed after finding out that it was relocating to expat enclave Central Park. 

However, owners Charles Wang and Nam Lang know exactly what they are doing: Wudaoying is peppered with tourists, retro hipsters and sky-rocketing rents, and the pair always wanted a larger space to really showcase the breadth of Chinese talent they stock. 

The usual suspects – Vega Wang, Uma Wang and He Yan – are on show, but we’re particularly excited about some of the new brands available. Tba’s autumn/winter collection (2,000-4,000RMB) features a Ling Wu and Italian sunglasses brand Super will be joining the fold. velvet jumpsuit we cannot wait to romp around in, while celebrity favourite Chictopia’s latest threads are inspired by afternoon tea – think teapot-emblazoned frocks (2,980RMB).
