Confucious Temple in order to commemorate Confucious. It is the highest institution of  the ancient China. Confucious was the first Chinese educator, who is also a thinker. Under the door of Confucious, there are thousands students, 72 students were very famous, they became all aspects of personnel.

In this temple, there are Confucious' statue and old ancient Chinese architecture. Each yard is different symbol of Seniority Rules.

Comments: This is the standard "fake" market in Shanghai. There are plenty of sub-par products here and loads of souvenirs. You can stock up on stuffed pandas, brocade table runners, China t-shirts and chopsticks as well as fake Ugg boots, various brands of bags, copy electronics and sports jerseys from just about any team in the world. Bargain hard, the asking prices are outrageous.

Description: it is a big market under Shanghai Science and Technology Musuem. With tailor-made and clothes market, fashion and gift market , international pearl city and Chinese and Western restaurant part.

Comments: The market is a little out of the way for the normal tourist who is staying downtown, but if you have time (hey, they're open until 10pm), make the trip out. Like Pearl's Circles, vendors have ready-made items for you to buy, but you can do your own designing. Freshwater pearls are a real value in China. Read more about buying pearls in China here.

The pagoda, called stupa in Sanskrit, usually refers to a tall and monumental structure. They are originally built to keep sacred relics of Buddha, and are located near or within a temple. The 53-meter high Zhenru Pagoda, which is translatable as Thusness Pagoda, was built in 1999. It is the first pagoda built in the last century of Shanghai’s history and is currently the landmark of Zhenru town. The multi-eave pagoda is ten stories above the ground and has an underground palace used for enshrining sacred relics of Sakamuyi. The pagoda is located on a big granite platform, leading to the ground by four staircases and surrounded by stone fences. Eight stone relief images of Bodhisattvas were carved on the external façade of the ground floor of the pagoda. A five-meter corridor has been built around the pagoda for the sake of Buddhists, who come to worship and circumambulate the pagoda. Inside the Pagoda, there are Buddha statues on each side of the walls from the 3rd layer to the top layer, as well as wooden-carvings of stories describing Sadhana’s visits of 53 masters.

Built by the French in 1865 and named after Karl Friedrich August Gutzlaff, who was one of the earliest European visitors to Shanghai, the Signal Tower was originally located at the foot of Yan’an Road East in the part of the Bund that once belonged to the French Concession. It was rebuilt in 1884 and 1907. The French used the Signal Tower to transmit weather reports from the Jesuit run Zikawei Observatory at Xujiahui to ships at sea. It continued to serve this function until 1956. The Signal Tower was moved 22.4 meters to its current location in 1993, and in 1999 it underwent a full restoration, after which it was reopened as a museum and café.

To my eyes, the best thing which is quite near the metro. You only walk 1 minute, you can get on the subway, which is amazing and good for tourists. So I advice the friends who like Sheraton this one may a good choice.

Changde Apartment is the former residence of a Chinese famous author called Zhang Eileen.

She spent 6 years at this place, and among these 6 years she wrote the most famous books.

This cafe displays lots of her books. When Zhang live here, she usually wrote novels at this cafe.

Song Fang Maison de Thé is an enchanting tea salon tucked away in a converted French Concession lane house of Shanghai. Song Fang is a truly stylish retreat - bright, airy, with light jazz on the background. Perfect!
The tea menu is extensive and difficult to choose from, so get recommendations from the staff if you don’t know which one to pick. French tea comes in Song Fang’s signature porcelain teapot sets (pictured below), while Chinese tea comes in clay teapots. My favorite is Polynesie, a fruity blend of green tea with mango, banana, and pineapple, but I also love China Blue, a rich and creamy blend of white tea with coconut, blackberry, and orange. Song Fang is perfectly charming. Come and stay the whole afternoon - preferably on weekdays to avoid the crowd - you will not want to leave after a sip of their gloriously soothing tea.

Hong Merchant’s artists in residence programme provides a select group of international artists with a unique opportunity to explore their medium and find and integrate inspiration from daily life in Shanghai into their work as they prepare for their exhibit at the gallery. Among others, artists find themselves drawn to local colours, the printed word, sites, old objects, and the rush of daily life. With a base in Shanghai they have the opportunity to explore and experiment in mediums that are not readily available in their home countries, such as neon, resins, gold leaf, ceramic, and bronze. Residence ranges from a period of weeks to months, and the artists work in a light-filled studio.

This yoga studio is one of the best international Yoga clubs in Shanghai downtown. 3 minutes to Plaza 66, 5 minutes to Portman by walking, is located in a restored lane house (Laoyangfang), 3.6Metres high classrooms surrounded by green, with eight classrooms, dozens of classes and experienced, international yoga teachers. They give yoga newbies support while also providing guidance to more advanced practitioners. This is also a nice place to make friends.
