The Naxi people has population is 300,000,most of them live in the Lijiang autonomous county,some of them live in Ninglang,Deqin,Weixi and Zhongdian.Naxi people created Dongba culture and Naxi culture.

Naxi means black ,strong and brave people,the Naxi lady works very hard,it has a word said "if you get married with Naxi lady,it more better you buy ten horses,it means one Naxi lady is more strong than ten horses.in the history,the Naxi lady beuaty is fat and black lady,if you fat,it means you are very strong,if you are black,it means you works very hard,because Naxi people live high altitude,the sunshine is very strong,if you work hard outside,will be dark skin.if the lady is slim before,it is difficult find boyfriend.

The Naxi man's clothing is not much different from that of the Han.the Naxi wommen wears aloose upper garment with a vest,a pair of trousers,a pleated apron and a goatskin shaw,on which there are seven delicately woven round designs symbolizing the moon and stars.(to work in the moonlight means exceptional industry.)

The Naxi people are open-minded,and fond of singing and dancing,
