These Roman ruins, in fact ruins of roman pillars are located right in fron to the Basilica of San Lorenzo. These pillars date back to the 2nd century AD and pertained to Roman temple. They were somehow moved from their previous location durinf the 4th century.

The pillars are built in marble and there are seventeen pillars altogether. Numerous visitors who visit the famous Basilica stand and take pictures in front of the Roman pillars.

Knowing how old is the basilica, these pillars take you even more in the past.
