Jade

Jade consists of natural mineral elements of magnitude varieties and is very difficult to be classified on the basis of one criterion. However, through scientific analysis of the mineral components of jade , we find that dade is roughly divided into two major types:

The first type is nephrite whose specific gravity measures nearly 3. It is more adamant than most mineral ores except diamond and quarts.

The second type is jadeite whose specific gravity amounts to 3.33. It is harder than nephrite. 

Both nephrite and jadeite would be colorless or white if unaffected by other factors. However, both of them are variegate and multi-colored as a result of the affection caused by other natural elements.
